Weekend getaway

by - December 16, 2009

It's been days again since I last blogged and feels like my mind is lagging a lot. Writer's block, perhaps? I don't know. I guess I'm not completely inspired to write. But yeah, since I already started I want to let everyone know how nice our weekend getaway was at Batangas last week. They have a really nice beach, awesome food service and lodging. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

Except for the tiny fact that I cut my foot in a sharp rock during my first few minutes in the water. It was an utter failure. Thank goodness though La Luz resort is good with service. I give their first aid staff, two thumbs up. I guess I was too overwhelmed by the beach and became less cautious, that's why during our two days stay there I was not able to swim. But it was still all good because the view was too good to pass up. :) We climbed a really high rock and when your there, you'll feel like you're on top of the world. Truly breathless. :)

Wubie's sister also treated me and him to a beach massage, which was really great. We had it in front of a bonfire and after we bonded and drank a bit. I felt really tipsy and got a little headache the next day. Lesson learned: never drink!=p It was a nice experience though because it's been more than a year since I drank. But I'd rather abstain. Haha. The specific thing I like about Batangas is it's night sky. Best for star gazing. They have tons of stars at night and it's just beautiful.

The place was really great. Given the chance I would definitely come back again. The drive was 4 hours long, yet the trip was worth it. Summer time is just months away!

  2. I love the beach, but I'm not a sun person. LOL I know it sounds weird, but ask my friends and they'll tell you I walk fast whenever there's sun. I don't know :-P But I love the beach breeze, and everything when the sun is about to set. LOL :-)

Happy holidays, twin! I hope you have a wonderful vacation :-) I've had my start already on the trips and celebrations too! Been very busy but not stressing at all! :-D
