How I spent my 23rd

by - April 21, 2012

Before I tell you how I spent my 23rd birthday today, I just want to share that last year wasn't actually a happy one for me. Aside from being holy week, I also had the birthday blues. Needless to say, it wasn't that memorable, because it was just a "birthday" for me and no "happy" in it. I actually recall crying. That's why for this year, I wanted to make sure that I enjoy my special day, but of course I erased all expectations and let the day unfold. :)

How did it unfold? Well, first my morning went pretty good, because while I was in my deep slumber, my grandmother out of excitement just had to come in my room and wake me up and upon opening my eyes I saw her carrying this huge bouquet of flowers and when I opened the envelope, it was from SM Accessories. How sweet is that?? They sure know how to give someone a HAPPY Birthday and GOOD morning!^_^

Of course, after that happy surprise, I ended up sleeping again, because I stayed up so late last night that I couldn't keep my eyes open much longer. But just after 2 hours of snoozing, I hear Athan suddenly scream to the other room, "DAAAAADDDDY!!!" and he comes running back to my grandparents room (where I was sleeping that time ) with a gorgeous bouquet of white roses from Gersh. :") Awwww! My boys are the best! Receiving both bouquets in a surprising way definitely already made my birthday great!

Thank you so much to SM Accessories and my loving boys for the wonderful flowers. I think nothing makes a girl feel more special than getting sweet surprises on her birthday. I love you!!

After all the heartfelt love I received at home, my family and I went out for dinner at my favorite italian restaurant; Cibo! BTW, just wanna say thank you to my Mommy. She's not here right now, because she has work, but even if so, I am very thankful that she still made my day special by letting us have a good time out. :)

Best birthday dinner ever! I know you're reading this, Mom! Thank you and Love you! Wish you were here. :)

My grandparents and Athan as well have been raving about wanting ice cream on my birthday and it's actually part of our tradition to buy ice cream and cake whenever someone has a birthday in our family, so instead of buying pints, we went to try out, GELATISSIMO!

I love how rich their ice cream is!:) They have cool flavors too like, Green apple, Lychee, Tiramisu, Green tea and more! But I'm a corny kid and just had the regular chocolate. =P Still good though!

After our gelato treat, we headed to Landmark for our monthly grocery, then headed home to blow my candle!!! But first, what I wore on my birthday.... ( Postura Project Day 9!:) )

Today was such a busy day that I forgot to take my outfit photos when the sun was still out. :( Sad! But, I just really wanna share the gorgeous top that I got from The Dollhouse and sandals from Gold Dot! I'm actually wearing almost ALL "Filipino-made" except for the shorts. :)

Oh and obligatory photo of me with my beautiful bouquet from Gersh! haha!:)) Joke! Love it to bits! My favorite color too!

And finally, to complete every birthday, the blowing of my cake!

I love this photo. Looks like everyone is trying to help me blow my tiny pink candle! lol!=P

Lastly, these are the wonderful gifts that I got today from Gersh and things I got from Regatta...

I am such a geek for bookstores that it was awesome for Gersh to get me gifts there like, the dialogue notebook, Archie Comics and ProMarker. I've always wanted those markers, so it's just perfect! Aside from that he got me two cute pastel nail polish from The Face Shop! Picked up a pair of trousers and bracelet from Regatta as well. :) Thank you so much!

I can't express enough how happy I am. With everything that went on today and all the greetings I received via Twitter and Facebook, I am overwhelmed, grateful and blessed! Thank you, Lord for all of the wonderful people I am surrounded with!:) From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who made this day amazing!
