Family Fun at the Farm

by - February 24, 2013

As I mentioned in my previous post, the family and I went to Athan's field trip at Sta. Elena Fun Farm over at Laguna yesterday to have a whole day filled with outdoor fun with his schoolmates, our family and cute farm animals. :) Before I show you the fun stuff we did there, I just want to give myself a pat at the back for now knowing how to drive through SLEX and all the way to Laguna, I survived!!:)) But of course, I also have to thank my ever-so reliable, personal GPS-Gersh for always guiding me. ^_^

Oh and I found something amusing on our way to the farm. Though I've seen this happening in movies,  this is actually my first time to encounter such incident personally...

ANIMALS CROSSING!!! This was interesting for me, because #1- I really had to stop and let them cross and #2- they were THAT close to our car, so I was able to take a photo. ^_^ Heee! Oh the kid in me! haha!:))

For those of you who haven't been to Sta. Elena's Fun Farm,  let me show you the activities we did  and the things you can find at the farm.

1.) Kids Obstacle Course and Sandy Playground

I wasn't able to take a picture of the whole obstacle course, but the truck was part of it. The kids can actually go up and play there. :) For the Sandy Playground, as you can see, the kids treat it like a sanctuary and a place to relax (casing point; the boy sleeping above. R&R lang ang peg!). The sand is so clean and white too!

2.) Fishing at the pond

We weren't able to catch any, but the Hubby said that he and Athan felt the fish biting their bait. He also mentioned that one kid was able to catch one though. :)

3.) Boat Ride

This is a less than 5 minute ride, but Athan sure enjoyed it. Plus it's unlimited, so you can go back to it anytime you please. :)

4.) Animal Feeding

This even as an adult, I enjoyed doing. :) We got to visit, feed (they provide the food) and pet them as many times as we wanted. Athan loved this part. He felt so proud that he could feed all the bunnies and guinea pig. The animals are quite clean, so you won't have to worry about getting your hands too dirty. They also have wash areas, alcohol and tissue outside the pens, so you can clean your hands immediately. :)

5.) Farm Animals

Aside from feeding them, we also got to see a few more farm animals, like ducks, turkey, chickens, pigs and even newborn bunnies!!!^_^ SO adorable! I kept coming back just to see how they were doing (such a mom!) haha. :) It was hard to take a picture of them while in their burrow. Luckily, this little one peeked out for a while.

6.) Horseback Riding

Another favorite of Athan. While riding around, he was pretending to be a cowboy. =P I think is unlimited too!

7.) Carabao Riding

This is a long ride around the fun and we enjoyed it despite the long wait at the line. However, this isn't unlimited anymore. We had stubs and after the ride, the man got it. Fun though!:)

8.) Picnics

After all the activities or if you just want to take a short break, they have spots where you can eat and have a little picnic with your family. :)

9.) A place to play with your kids

You are free to use the facilities, so bring frisbees, bubbles or any stuff you can play outdoors and play with your family just like what Athan and Gersh are doing above. :)

10.) Take lots and lots of pictures!

And that caps off our family fun at the farm. :) It was our first time to go to Sta. Elena's fun farm and we had a really great time. A perfect place to get in touch with nature and bond with your loved ones. :)
