You are what you wear: Alex and Ani

by - October 12, 2013

I don't know if you guys ever saw my bracelet or arm candies phase. It was so intense that I wouldn't buy much necklaces or earrings anymore when I go accessories shopping. My whole focus would just be for bracelets. But now I can say that I've toned down a bit. Though, I still have a box full of bracelets + a bowl of it on my dresser. Obsessed much? =P

I tried controlling myself a lot these past months. However, a new brand has arrived here in Manila and I feel quite tensed haha!:)) I think I'll be going back to my old ways! If you're a bracelet junkie like I am, you would probably understand why these are hard to resist...

So, yes, the American lifestyle brand, Alex and Ani is finally here in our country and it's more than just jewelry. Alex and Ani manufactures eco-friendly products that adorn the body, enlighten the mind and empower the spirit. The brand believes that every person has a positive message to share with the world and by incorporating powerful symbolism into each piece, they provide the wearer to express his/her individuality.

Basically, these are charm bracelets, but you have three things to look forward to about it;

1.) Expandable Concept (an innovative & patented technology of Alex and Ani)- The bangles are expandable and this concept replaces traditional clasps with a sliding mechanism. This allows everyone to have a piece of jewellery customized for a perfect fit.

2.) Positive Energy- No, these are not the metal kind that you buy at sport stores. It's actually something to express the inner you. Through a bangle, people can inspire and have a testament, a story, a piece of each person's soul.

3.) Eco-friendly Fashion- Alex and Ani prides itself in supporting local communities and organizations, and creating jewellery from eco-friendly materials enriches the meaning behind each piece. Alex and Ani purchases recycled metals from local mills, which are handcrafted in Rhode Island, where the company is based. Carolyn Rafaelian (the designer) believes that by creating designs that support the environment and encourage social consciousness, consumers can use their purchases to make a difference in protecting our planet and our future.

 Makes me wonder now how each person expresses their life?:) I on the other hand, would like to represent it through symbols and I think with Alex and Ani, I can do that. It goes perfect with the saying, "You are what you wear." :)

  1. The way they displayed the bracelets sure make it tempting to purchase one, or two, or three... http://eljovenlector.blogspot.com/2013/10/raisie-speaks-october-giveaway.html
