Elle Kids paints the town red

by - December 10, 2013

When it comes to fashion shows, I have been fortunate to not only watch the shows that I like during Philippine Fashion Week, but I also get to enjoy seeing the latest and hottest trends for kids on the runway. Oh the joy of motherhood!;)

Last Saturday, I was able to see an exciting sartorial experience this Yuletide season with ELLE: Let's Paint the Town Red, a holiday-themed fashion event presenting the Fall/Winter 2013 collection.

When I got to the Atrium of SM Aura Premier, I was greeted by the stylishly festive atmosphere of the place. I love that they had a huge dice game laid out and of course the best part, Meet and Greet Santa Claus!^_^ Too bad I wasn't able to bring my kids here, because they were at their grandmother's place. I'm sure they would have loved this so much. :)

Funny thing is while I was taking Santa's photo, he was gesturing me to come over and have a photo with him. But I was so shy that I could only utter, "No! it's okay! I'm too old!" Hehe. =P But don't mind that! No one is too old for Santa, okay??

Elle Kids is known for injecting chic twists into timeless basics. So, I saw some clothes from the Elle Classic line, which included basic shirts, comfy rompers, jeans and the brand's trademark colours of scarlet red, white and blue. A true modern Parisian vibe of a relaxed yet trendy feel.

Setting the trend for the season, they had the Provence series, featuring key pieces such as puff sleeve polo shirts for young girls and striped plaid polo shirts for boys. Cargo shorts for boys and vests, slim fit jeans, and miniskirts in black soft denims speckled details for girls.

I also saw some adventurous looks for the boys through the Equestrian collection and some Rockstar anthology for fashion forward boys and girls who want to end the year on a style-amplified note. :)

The kids were such pros in strutting their stuff down the runway. They have potential!:) So adorable! On another note, I so want the London flag sequin dress. Too pretty!

The show ended with the beautiful family of Amina Aranaz-Alunan walking down the runway with their cute kids who are the current ambassadors of ELLE KIDS. :)

This holiday season, let your kids find their own ways to express their sense of style through dressing up. Let them have fun!:)
