Get your sparkle on!

Believe it or not, before this year started, the last musical or show I ever went to was back in 2004 and it was Beauty and The Beast on broadway. It was amazing! But of course, musicals are quite pricey, so I normally don't get to watch much. But fortunately, November this year, I got to see Alice in Wonderland on stage and today, I got the pleasure of watching Barbie Live! The Musical at the SM MoA Arena on its first day!^_^ This is definitely a great addition to my December 2013 or year-ender. :)

When I initially got the invite from SM Mall of Asia and Vivre Fort, I thought is this for real? Am I really going to see my childhood love live on stage??:) I also thought this would be perfect for another date day with Athan. I know he's a boy and Barbie is for girls. But there's Ken, so that's enough. Besides, Athan isn't really the type of kid or boy who disses girl stuff. I knew he would enjoy this, it being a musical. :)

For me though, it brought back a lot of childhood memories! Barbie was my favourite toy growing up and seeing this in my 20's is just pure nostalgia. :")

If you're wondering if this is only for the kiddies, you got it wrong. I myself enjoyed and I'm already 24 years old and a mom! From the captivating and glamorous costumes, to spectacular lighting and set designs, Barbie Live! will deliver fans a one-of-a-kind production experience featuring the world's favourite doll. Of course, as an added bonus, she's life size!:)

Barbie Live! Will delight generations of Barbie fans and will leave you feeling entertained and inspired.  There are so many energetic songs and dance numbers that will leave you in awe and singing even after the show. I must admit I got a bit LSS. =P

The show doesn't only concentrate on one particular scene. It actually makes a great transition to Barbie's popular DVD's or movies; Swan Lake, Princess and the Popstar, and Mariposa & Fairy Princess. They show to help Barbie's friend Teresa to learn a few things along the way. :) I don't want to spoil it for you, so do watch!:)

This show is a great way for families to bond. If you have nothing planned for the weekend, reserve your tickets now or give this as an extra Christmas gift to your kids, nieces and nephews! I'm sure they'll have a fun time!
