A few weeks ago, I bought this little notebook from Greenhills. I really don't know why I bothered buying one cos I already have so much notebooks at home that are not filled up yet. But for some reason, I've started writing on the little notebook a lot and more of those are inspirational stuff that I find online. I've experienced a depressing situation thing last month and I'm still trying to cope with that. Good news though, I'm feeling much better than I did before. I guess it's just really how we look at things. If our perspective is towards optimism, then you'd most likely have a happier aura.

Now, i'd like to share with you some of the things that I wrote down on my little notebook from www.shape.com :)

10 Habits of Happy People

1.) Be grateful!- Count your blessings. Take inventory of the good around you. Be grateful for the hardships, the obstacles & failures, because these are points of wisdom in your life. They give you strength.

2.) Share your stories- We all have the capacity to live optimistically just by sharing our life's adventures, our successes and even our failures.

3.) Forgive- Forgive those that have affected your ability to find the silver linings. Make peace with your past so that it won't spoil the present. Once you accomplish this, you will close those chapters and live a more positive and happy life.

4.) Be a better listener- When you listen, you open up your ability to take in more knowledge vs. blocking the world with your words and distracting thoughts.

5.) Turn envy and jealousy into energy- When we envy others we are only hurting ourselves. Channel that energy into building your personal and professional brand. Consider other people's success the catalyst to help you achieve.

6.) Smile more, Frown Less- When we are smiling we are creating a happy, stimulating environment around us that draws others in. It makes the toughest days surmountable.

7.) Exercise and Follow a healthy diet- The energy we get from exercise, a healthy diet, and light exposure (sun) gives us focus, clarity, and a naturally positive demeanour.

8.) Practice Positive-Forward Thinking- It's the ability to find the silver lining in every cloud, apply it to today or yesterday and be hopeful that tomorrow will be better. Working hard will always deliver results. Life is not a lottery, it's what you make of it.

9.) Stop Blaming others for your problems- It's so easy to blame others for our position in life. Once you truly accept that, you control who you are, you will that optimism and success came naturally.

10.) Remember the past isn't a blueprint to the future- Do not make bad experiences a self-fulfilling prophecy of what lies ahead. On the contrary, know that those milestones are behind you and the road to the future is clear.
