A designer sets up shop in The City of Stars

by - July 25, 2014

When fashion designer Pat Santos opened his first shop in Las Piñas, I unfortunately wasn't able to make due to my classes. I was so heartbroken cos I know how wonderful and beautiful Pat's designs were. It was really sad that I wasn't able to see him and his creations during that time. That's why I vowed that I promise not to miss his second event.

Incase you didn't know, Pat Santos has achieved much success as a long-time supplier of ready-to-wear for the SM chain of stores' in-house brands Blanc Et Noir, Philosophy, Studio S, Folio, and Jus Ur Size. I bet you all are quite familiar with those brands, especially if you shop a lot at SM Woman. ;) While he's still a major supplier of the retail chain's SM Woman line, Santos is also slowly-- and finally stepping into the spotlight. With the success of his thriving shop in Las Piñas and participating in last season's Philippine Fashion Week, it is no doubt that Pat's work is loved by many.

Now along with those achievements, Pat Santos adds a new one by opening his spanking new atelier in the city of stars a.k.a. on Sgt. Esguerra Avenue, Quezon City.

Being that local TV networks are located at Quezon city, it's natural that he picked the place with the most potential clients. Indeed, those looking for anything from stylish everyday apparel to elegant gowns fit for a red carpet event will find it in Santos, who whipped up a special 11-piece summer collection in time for his atelier's opening.

I was in awe when I saw his collection. I immediately fell in love with the colour combinations he used and the details he added on to the clothes were so pretty!

I adore the digitally printed and sequinned floral designs. It gives off an attractive pixelated effect. :)

But my favourite of them all is the finale--the wedding gown, which made me want to get married in church right there and then!

Love this structured wedding gown trimmed with elastic pleated black medallion and white corded lace--an updated approach (to last year's popular black and white trend) by Pat Santos. :)

After the fashion show, we all headed to the main "office" or shop for the blessing and official launch of Pat Santos' atelier.
His atelier was designed in tandem with Cocoy Cordoba and it exudes of elegance in class. Something that reflects him as a designer. :)

You would think that after the fashion show and blessing of the shop that it would be time to go home. For us it wasn't! It was actually a start to a happy surprise!:) We were given the chance to bag ANY Pat Santos creation on the racks of clothes that he prepared for us. We were allowed to get how many pieces we pleased. Imagine that??^_^
