Morellato Style Series

by - May 24, 2015

Growing up, I've always been fascinated with accessories and what caught my attention the most was charms. I guess it's because I have this strong affinity for little cute things, so charms just fit well. :) Up until now, I still like collecting charms, but never really had the chance to pick the right store to get my bracelet. But last week, I was given the chance to attend a styling workshop at one of Morellato's newest store at SM Department Store, Makati by none other than Ms. Jenni Epperson; one of the country's most credible names in fashion and style! ^_^ She's not just one of favorite Lifestyle Blogger, but also look up to her a lot. She's my inspiration in shifting to lifestyle. :)

How can I say 'NO' to getting amazing tips from this woman?? No, sir!

A little fact about Morellato - Morellato was established in 1930 when Giulio Morellato opened a watch and jewelry workshop in Venice, Italy. A few years after, he started to specialize in producing leather straps for wristwatches and began making handcrafted jewelry in gold and silver.

Today, Morellato is Italy's largest watch and jewelry brand. They are known for jewelry collections that have brought together priceless materials including real gemstones, natural pearls or diamonds, and steel. Its Spring-Summer 2015 collection includes natural pearls, dazzling diamonds, drops, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and priceless watches.

I love how Ms. Jenni explains things, because she makes us feel that we can easily achieve the looks and that it's not always about trends. It's how well you put things together that makes an outfit standout. :)

She gave us a lot of tips when it comes to jewelry and I managed to take a few notes on my phone, so I can share it with you, girls. :)

~ Rose Gold looks good on skin. It blends well with your skin tone, especially when you have that tan after swimming. It just makes you glow.

~ Gold is always a classic piece

~ Lace is one of the trends now. It's nice to wear, because it isn't bulky and looks light

~ Earrings no matter what size you are looks great on you

~ There's something elegant with wearing real jewelry

She also called out three models wearing Morellato jewelry and showed us how to style our Jewelry with these outfits - LBD, Business attire and Casual look.

~ Little Black Dress- big bold statement accessories is the way to go

~ Business attire- wearing understated jewelry for the boardroom is a must

~ Casual look- wear statement jewelry or layering Morellato drops bracelet

One of the guests from the Media was Ms. Wilma Doesnt and her question was how can Moms who normally just wear a t-shirt, jeans and flats style accessories?

This was a perfect question, because I, too, wanted to know. It's not that I don't know how to accessorize, but there are times that I find uncomfortable wearing it when I have to carry my kids and I can't bear too much accessories.

Ms. Jenni gave us the best tip and it's this...

~ For Moms, a piece of necklace that isn't too long for everyday. Timepieces are also good or bracelets... Nothing too complicated. :) She doesn't recommend rings though, since you can easily forget it.

So far, the tip she gave is how I style myself. Not too much Jewelry. But I make sure that I still have pieces that will work well with my outfit and lifestyle with the kids. :)
