BEAUTYCON 2026: World Of Beauty is here. Now on its third year, it continues to be the trendsetting, must-attend event for beauty lovers, experts, and enthusiasts brought to you by Watsons, SM Beauty, and LOOK At Me.
I have been a Mom for 18 years now, and honestly, even though I am this far into parenting, I’m still figuring things out when it comes to helping my kids whenever they get sick. I currently have two bigger kids and a little 4 year old. Because of our experience, my kids pretty much know what to expect when they don’t feel well. But as every Mom knows, it never gets any easier seeing your kids deal with it. So to this day, I’m still actively looking for ways to make their fever recovery easier. And from this journey, I’ve learned a few things in this little side quest of mine that I think every young Mom needs to know.
My Routine
I’ll preface this by sharing the fact that I have been a Paracetamol (Tempra) believer all my life. Growing up, Paracetamol (Tempra) has always been my family’s go-to when it came to fever. So naturally, when the time came to be a parent myself, the first time my kid got sick, I turned immediately to what I knew. And I must say, I can really see why my own parents would always look straight to Paracetamol (Tempra) whenever I felt under the weather. To put it simply, it’s easy: Easy to store, easy to take, can be stocked up, my kids love the flavors, and most importantly, it is recommended and trusted by my family doctor and my kids’ pediatricians. Hence, my “routine” is nothing really special: Have my child rest, prepare lots of water for them to drink, cook light meals for them, and have them take Paracetamol (Tempra) every 4-6 hours. And while this plan generally works, the stars have to align for this to be 100% foolproof; Fever never comes at a convenient time. Because of this, my “routine” gets thrown out the window very often, so whenever my kids get sick, I improvise. My “routine” isn’t much of a routine, but from my experience, I’ve gained confidence in my on the spot handling, and I’ve learned a few things about Paracetamol (Tempra) itself that allowed me to be so much more flexible in the face of fever.
What I Didn’t Know About Paracetamol (Tempra)
I guess being around it so much all my life, I never really realized that Paracetamol (Tempra) doesn’t need to be shaken. I just knew of the “Fast Take, No Shake” formula from their brand jingle I heard months ago, but I only found out recently how much of a difference that makes. Because it’s a 100% dissolved paracetamol, the dosage is always consistent.
I also only found out recently from their most recent TV commercial that this formula Paracetamol (Tempra) is “Mabait sa Tummy.” Now, this is a real game changer for me, since for as long as I can remember, I thought you needed to eat before taking Paracetamol (Tempra). But it turns out, you don’t need to! Paracetamol (Tempra) is okay to take even on an empty stomach. Which is why during moments when your sick kid has no appetite or fever strikes in odd hours or in the middle of the night, Paracetamol (Tempra)’s still good to give. It’s really the little details like these about Paracetamol (Tempra) that make my family’s lives easier when it comes to fever recovery, regardless of the time, place, and situation.
Two Little Details, One Fresh Outlook
It’s these two things about Paracetamol (Tempra) that has made me a more confident “Lagnat Fighter” myself. Again, it never gets any easier watching your kids get sick, but having Paracetamol (Tempra) by our side at all times has made the whole process of recovery so much smoother and easier, most especially with these new findings of mine. So if you’re not a Tempra Mom just yet, consider stocking up on Paracetamol (Tempra) at the nearest drugstore or pharmacy. It may make things a little easier for the whole family!

While no two Disney and Pixar Animation Studios films are alike, “Hoppers” stands out as a hilarious outlier in more ways than one.

The Greenhills Mall Activity Center transformed into a vibrant playground of pure potential as Nutroplex recently wrapped up its flagship "MarketPlays: Playground for Future CEOs," a two-day showcase of entrepreneurial talent for kids last January 24 and 25. The weekend was filled with moments of discovery, turning standard mall trips into a series of proud, confidence-boosting milestones for families. By giving children the floor to explore their business skills, Nutroplex turned the activity center into a launchpad for the leaders of tomorrow, proving that when young minds are empowered, the sky becomes the limit.
At the heart of the festivities were the kiddie seller-run stalls, where young entrepreneurs traded their toys for ledgers and stepped into the shoes of real-world business owners. These future CEOs showcased remarkable creativity, beaming with pride as they closed their very first sales and pitched their unique ideas to an impressed crowd of adults and fellow young learners. Every booth told a story of independence, bringing the brand’s mission of “Todo-Focus” (concentration) and “Bilis Diskarte” (quick thinking and mental sharpness) to life as children navigated the exciting challenges of a marketplace with infectious enthusiasm.
The energy remained high as the kids dove headfirst into a flurry of hands-on activities designed to sharpen their problem-solving skills. From the intricate components of the Robothink PH workshop to the strategic thinking found in the business sessions, every corner of the event was a stimulating experience for their young brains.
Serial entrepreneur and motivational speaker RJ Ledesma shared his experience and valuable insights on starting a business.
The "Nutty Scientist" stole the show with a series of interactive experiments that made complex science seem like pure magic, while serial entrepreneur and motivational speaker RJ Ledesma shared a treasure trove of wisdom during the "Kiddie CEO Talk," inspiring participants to dream big and act with confidence.
"At Unilab, we believe in empowering families to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. It is important for us to make available high-quality products so that they are supported at every stage of growth,” said Jennifer Bulao, Unilab Assistant Vice President General Manager, “We developed Nutroplex to be part of kids' daily routines to help them feel ready to try, explore, and take on new challenges—turning simple playtime into meaningful, confidence-building moments.”
Sunshine Aquino, Unilab Assistant Vice President of Marketing, highlighted how Market Plays allowed families to experience Alagang Unilab beyond the product shelf. “This event was designed to be more than just an activity. It’s a space where children can practice todo-focus and bilis-diskarte through hands-on experience, while parents see how everyday moments of play can become meaningful opportunities for learning and growth,” she shared, “In the same way Nutroplex helps boost concentration and promote agile thinking, experiences like MarketPlays encourage kids to try, explore, and take on new challenges,” she said. “When children are properly nourished, they are more ready to turn simple play into confidence-building moments—reinforcing our commitment to support them as they grow, learn, and thrive.”
This journey toward independence was fueled by more than just imagination. Nutroplex provided the nutritional foundation necessary for these high-energy milestones. Formulated with essential nutrients like iron and Vitamin B-complex (B1, B6, and B12), the multivitamin-mineral supplement supports “Todo-Focus (concentration) and “Bilis Diskarte” (quick thinking and mental sharpness) that the young leaders displayed throughout the fair.
The experience was further enriched by support from Nutroplex’s partner organizations, whose activities reinforced learning beyond the marketplace. The event featured engaging workshops and hands-on learning stations from education partners Nullspace, S.A.M Singapore Math, and Robothink, while official trade partner Watsons Philippines supported the event by bringing Nutroplex and other Unilab brands closer to families. Through guided activities and mission cards, children and parents were encouraged to explore each station, making the experience more immersive, purposeful, and rewarding.
Nutroplex MarketPlays: Playground for Future CEOs proved that when children are provided with the right nutritional support and a supportive environment, every moment of play becomes a building block for a successful future. As families celebrated these early milestones, the event stood as a testament to the power of nurturing a child’s potential through focus, health, and a spirit of adventure.

Sari-sari stores serve as trusted community institutions across the Philippines. These bridge access gaps in underserved areas, offer small-volume purchasing for budget-conscious households, and often extend credit based on long-standing neighborhood relationships. Their presence sustains hyperlocal economies and forms a vital foundation of the country's retail ecosystem.
As one of the country’s leading retailers, Puregold has long recognized that the strength of this micro-retail sector is closely tied to the strength of the broader retail landscape. The company’s extensive network of sari-sari store partners has been a major contributor to its growth and nationwide reach.

With good PR, this won’t be a big challenge. Here’s how you can spark positive buzz and sustain it over time.
Why Positive Publicity Matters
With over 86% of Filipinos active on social media (DataReportal, 2025), a negative review or viral complaint can definitely make or break your growth. These unfavorable feedbacks can spread faster than any press release, especially in hyperconnected environments.
This is why you need positive PR on your side. It ensures that when people talk about your brand — regardless of the platform and medium — your strengths, values, and contributions are highlighted. This results in increased trust, credibility, and recall, later translating into customer loyalty and sales.
Practical Ways to Become the “Talk of the Town”
Given the importance of having positive publicity, here are 7 ways you can harness the good buzz.
1. Anchor Your Brand in a Strong Story
Filipinos connect deeply with stories. More than marketing your products, you can highlight the brand’s journey, founder’s local roots, or the team’s commitment to community service. For example, brands like Potato Corner often emphasize how they started small and grew big with the support of Filipino customers.
A PR agency in the Philippines can help shape these narratives into stories that resonate with both media and your target audience, ensuring that your brand’s voice is authentic and compelling.
2. Engage with Local Communities
Barangay pride runs strong in the Philippines. Supporting local fiestas, sponsoring a community basketball league, or partnering with schools and churches are grassroots PR efforts that immediately make your brand visible and relatable.
Don’t just show up at the event — show genuine care by contributing and partaking in its implementation and overall experience. Community engagement builds loyalty that advertising money alone can’t buy.
3. Maximize Media Relationships
Local media play a huge role in shaping public perception. A well-placed feature in a lifestyle magazine or a short interview on DZMM can boost your credibility overnight.
However, businesses — especially SMEs — can find it hard to access these channels. This gets easier with the help of a PR agency’s media network and guide: they know how to pitch your story, who to talk to, and how to get coverage that puts your brand in the spotlight.
4. Create Share-Worthy Moments
Sometimes all it takes is one clever campaign or activation to capture attention. Pop-up stores, flash sales, or viral-ready social media content can quickly become the talk of the town if executed well.
Take Jollibee’s Valentine’s short films as an example. They were ads positioned as cultural events, hitting the audiences’ emotions, values, and even memories. In turn, people shared, discussed, and referenced them long after release.
Take note: creative campaigns that leverage the market’s pathos linger longer in public memory.
5. Leverage Influencers Wisely
Filipino consumers are highly responsive to credible influencers. Partnering with micro-influencers who genuinely use and love your product often works better than paying for a single celebrity endorsement. Audiences can tell if something is just pure mechanical advertisement, so always focus on authenticity.
6. Be Present During Relevant Conversations
Nothing says good publicity like supporting valuable causes. Engage in disaster relief, sustainability, or local holiday celebrations to align your brand with meaningful conversations.
But similar to influencer collaborations, your involvement in these causes need to be authentic. Performative actions often turn sour, so make sure your brand has real initiatives behind its activities and words.
Great publicity’s best partner is excellent crisis management. Being the “talk of the town” can quickly turn negative if a problem isn’t managed well. From customer complaints to social media backlash, how you respond determines whether people move on or continue talking badly about your brand.
Good PR is proactive, not reactive — crisis communication plans are always in place, ready to respond quickly with empathy and transparency.
At its core, PR is about managing narratives and building relationships. It ensures that whenever your brand enters conversations, it enters positively.
In the Philippines, good PR can transform small businesses into household names and keeps big companies trusted through crises. Partnering with a PR agency gives you the right story in the right channel to reach the right people.
Becoming the “talk of the town” requires a thorough strategy that weaves compelling stories, community engagement, and reputation maintenance together. With the help of a strong PR foundation, you can achieve this and turn your brand into a respected, recommended, and dearly remembered cultural staple.
