SM Babies Launch

Being a blogger and now a mom of two, I guess it's inevitable that I get invited to not only fashion related events, but mommy ones as well. Just like last Monday, I went to the launch of SM Babies at The Manila Peninsula Conservatory. :)
Given that the event was for babies, I knew I could bring my kids. But at the last minute, I only brought Athan with me, because for sure if I brought the baby with me, I'd have my hands full since Asher requires full attention and I will not be able to focus on the launch. So, my date for the afternoon was Athan. :)

The theme of the event was "Sunday's Best" and looking at the place makes you feel like sipping tea, eating finger foods and chatting with your friends on a wonderful afternoon. :) It was definitely dainty/soft all over, just like how babies are. ^_^

We were also each given a St. Patrick bear along with our press kit and Athan immediately knew that he wanted to give that to Asher as soon as we get home. Sweet!

Like I said, sipping tea (but it's coffee haha) and finger foods! Sorry if it doesn't look too appealing. That's almost the aftermath haha. :))
This is also my first event for 2013, so seeing a few of the blog friends was something to look forward to...

Staying true to its tagline "We got it all for you," SM Department store adds another feather to its cap with the launch of SM Babies. Although the line has been around for a while under SM Kids' Fashion, SM wanted to give it its own identity and focus on a complete line of apparel that caters specifically to children up to two years of age.

With this launch, the same team behind SM Kids' Fashion put together a photo exhibit called "Special Moments" which featured 14 of Metro Manila's loveliest moms and their bundles of joy, and were all shot by one of the country's most sought-after photographers, Pilar Tuason. :)
It was a really beautiful exhibit. Made me wish I had a similar shot with Asher!:D That would be cute!

The SM Babies team handpicked all the moms who participated in the exhibit. From actress Andi Eigenmann to radio darling Delamar Arias to former TV personality Nicole Hernandez-de los Angeles, “Special Moments” shows that all types of moms shop at SM, not only because SM has it all, but also because they believe in SM Babies.

The exhibit also included society moms Marta Araneta, Isabel Olondriz, Maia Martirez-Hing, and Grace Barbers-Baja, as well as sisters Emillie Montenegro-Yupangco and Rose Montenegro-Boonpongsa. Model Georgia Schulze-del Rosario, blogger Tin Dychiao, and make-up artist Angela Yeo, are also featured alongside designer Rosanna Ocampo-Rodriguez and Magazine Editor Juana Manahan-Yupangco.

Can I be a little bias and say that my favorite among the moms is blogger Tin Dychiao a.k.a. MFO and her adorable baby Xavi?? Blogger represent! Heee!:")

The 14 Moms and the bundles of joy!

Having a 2 month old baby myself, I can't help but buy cute outfits for him. :) Here are some of the few things I recently purchased at the SM Babies section...

They are too cute for words! I can't wait to capture Asher wearing these! :) I love how SM Department store has so many nice things and when you buy, it doesn't hurt your pocket. They have so much more clothes for babies. If only babies were like adults that don't grow too fast, i'd buy so much more for Asher!:) At least now I know where to buy his baptismal suit!
