What the My Shopping Box site looks like :) |
This year is definitely all about museum trips and musicals for me. :) I've been to three museums and three musicals in total. I'm not complaining though! I really love those kinds of entertainment. It leaves me in awe and I learn from it. Not to mention, I can always bring my kids along. :)
When I was still little, I remember how my would always buy me new clothes for Christmas and even my cousins parents did the same. It's one of the things we looked forward to. I guess there's just something about the Holidays that makes us want to get all dressed up. :)
Ever since I gave birth to Asher, I have been a constant coffee drinker. Maybe due to all the late night cradling and nonstop crying of a newborn. I can't imagine how I would function without a cup or two in a day. Especially at night! I have classes until 9PM and I often go to our Nescafe vending machine just to get a 3-in-1 to perk me up. :) So, when I got invited to attend the Coffeemate event at CO/OP last Thursday, it was such a pleasure! How can a coffee fan like me decline?:)
It was my first time to visit CO/OP and I can't believe it took me this long! This place is the cutest! It's filled with so many quirky stuff and if I had a house of my own already, I wouldn't mind splurging on their adorable and unique displays. :)
This place was perfect for the Coffeemate event! So what did we do exactly?
Whenever I hear "Lazada", there are only two things running on my mind - one is that it's an online store that we have locally available here in the Philippines and two, it's known for its electronics. So, when I got invited to attend the launch of their Lazada Fashion last week, I thought it was just going to be typical or the simple kind of clothes, like jeans or tees. But little did I know that I was actually in for a treat when I got to the venue; R Space, Makati. :)

Having my hair colored to violet is something that I've always been happy about. I never regret the decision to have it in that color and I even emphasized in my past OOTD entry that I have no intentions of going to back to black anytime soon. But of course, along with the intensely colored hair, you also can't avoid having dry and frizzy hair sometimes, because like it or not, you'll get your hair dry, because of all the bleaching.

Fresh from the success of its previous collections, the Aeronaute, Voyager and Cruise, they celebrate another great news with the opening of the brand's first freestanding store in the country's largest retail complex, SM Mall of Asia, bringing along with it, Veloci's most up-to-the-minute, groundbreaking collections. :)
When you have kids, time is often dedicated in taking care of them and their needs. This is the part when couples say that you start losing time for your significant other and things just became a routine to both of you. Life is simply sucked out. But for me, I don't believe in that entirely, because no matter how busy you get, I think that you should always make time for your loved ones. :)
When my husband and I (boyfriend back then) started dating circa 2007, we would always go out on dates every weekend. Fast forward to today, Eight years as a couple, our weekends are usually family day with the kiddos. But we don't mind! That's still a great thing, because we make time to have family days. Something the kids really love. On the side though, the Hubby and I still greet each other when monthsaries come by and during special occasions such as Valentine's Day and Anniversaries, we really make it a point that it's our day and it will just be the two us on that date. :)
So truly, the best gift you can ever give your loved ones this Christmas is the Gift of time.
A week ago, I received an early Christmas present from Tomato and it was so timely, because the Hubby's old watch broke and he hasn't been able to buy a new one lately. I immediately thought that he was the perfect person to share this with. :) We finally have our first couple watch! Would you like to see what he got? :)
The event was held at the The Tents of Alphaland Southgate Mall and as soon as I entered, I was surprised by their awesome wall that was actually made from scratch with Post-it and Scotch products! Amazing!!^_^ The theme was composed of the street graffitis, office space and school. :)
Growing up, I was never a dessert girl nor did I have a sweet tooth. I would easily shun away ice cream, cake or anything that will make me cringe from too much sweetness. However, I did have a favourite! And whenever we would eat at buffets, Leche Flan would always and forever be a must-eat dessert for me. I just love it too much! After having kids though, I started liking desserts. Maybe cos I need more energy and sugar, so bring it on!! ^_^
This week has been pretty steady for me. It's the second half of the term and we're just beginning with our new lessons and come December, it's finals! Huhuhu! Wish me luck!
On another random note, I bought two new books the other day; Lullabies by Lang Leav and Landline by Rainbow Rowell. They're both best-sellers, so I can't wait to start reading them!

Being a parent or parents is never an easy task. It's the hardest job in the world, but there are a lot of reasons to be thankful for and be happy about. :) I'm blessed to have two amazing boys in my life and I'd like to share with you my five tips in raising happy kids every first monday of the month!:)
To start it off this November, my tip #1-
Support them in their
smallest to biggest endeavours
When I found out that
I was going to be a mother, I promised to myself that I was always going to be
there for my children. I promised that I’d
be their number one fan, cheerleader and shoulder to cry on no matter
what.
Fast forward to 6
years, that promise has remained true and I believe that it’s one of the
reasons why my kids are continually growing up happy. :)
A good example of
fulfilling my promise to them would be by always being present at my son
Athan’s school activities. I take pleasure in being able to watch all of his
school stuff. They’re only young for a short time and these are the times when
they remember the simple joy of seeing their parents in the same crowd of eager
folks filming their kids.
As for my youngest
son Asher, since he’s still only a year
old, I support him by cheering on his
little achievements; being able to eat on his own, saying a new word or
completing a puzzle. I make sure he feels like it means the world to me. :)
I believe the little
things contribute a lot to a child’s bigger side of happiness, because they
know they are loved unconditionally.
Being a parent
doesn’t only stop at you giving them all their basic needs. You also have to
give them your time, in order for them to feel that their achievements, whether
big or small are appreciated by the people who matter to them the most a.k.a.
their parents. ♥
To get more tips on how to raise healthy and happy kids, stay tuned on my blog every first Monday of the month or you can go to https://www.facebook.com/BonakidPreSchoolPH to see more!:)
Happy week ahead, folks!
