Recipe: Hawaiian Chicken BBQ Sandwich

by - October 07, 2016

It's the weekend again and doesn't that just sparks your interest in trying new things, like cooking a new recipe? :) When I got married and had my kids, I realized how important it is to prepare meals for your family and try different things once in a while. It adds more fun and excitement whenever we eat. It doesn't hurt that I also have a husband who loves to try anything that I cook! Haha! Best in support award! ^_^

Today, since FriYay is here, I decided to try a new recipe - Hawaiian Chicken BBQ Sandwich!

It's not the first time that I cooked chicken or made a sandwich, but it is the first time for me to make a burger-like sandwich at home. :) Not only is this recipe easy to do, but it's also fast to make! It only took me 15 minutes in total! :)

First, what you'll need are the following:

* 250 grams chicken breast
* 1/2 cup store-bought barbecue marinade
* 4 tbsp Lady's Choice Chicken BBQ Spread
* 2 pc Kaiser buns
* 2 pc cheese slices
* 2 pc pineapple slices
* 4 pc lettuce leaves

For the procedure, there are only four steps to follow. :)

1. Marinate chicken in barbecue marinade for at least 30 minutes. But I marinated mine overnight to let the barbecue marinade seep in real good. :) You can easily buy BBQ marinade at groceries.

2. Pan-grill over medium-high heat until chicken is fully cooked. Slice chicken into thin pieces.

Once the chicken is done cooking, you can start assembling the sandwich!

We all know that a sandwich is never complete without its condiments or sauces. For this recipe, since I made chicken BBQ, I decided to use Lady's Choice Chicken BBQ Spread. :)

3. Spread Lady's Choice Chicken BBQ Spread on sliced side of the bun.
4. Sandwich the lettuce leaves, pineapple slice and sliced chicken pieces between buns. Serve while warm.

*Note: Your leftover grilled or roasted chicken may used.

That's it! Easy peasy, right? :) It's amazing how there are so many ways you can enjoy Lady's Choice Roast Beef and Chicken BBQ. :) My husband and son really loved it! Winner! :)

How about you, guys? Care to share any recipes by using the hashtag #ChickenOrBeef? Would love to know! :) Or you can visit the Lady's Choice Website to see more recipes!

Happy weekend, everyone!
