ARTSY FARTSY AVA: August 2017

Back to my Japan travel blog again and this time with Day 2! :)
For our second day in Osaka, our itinerary was a whole day at Universal Studios Japan. It has been exactly 14 years since I last stepped in Universal Studios and back then it was in Florida, so I wasn't sure what they had new at Japan. But I do know they have The Wizarding World of Harry Potter there and I definitely wanted to see that. :)

There are often times that I doubt myself. I know most of us do and with social media nowadays showing us the "perfect" side of everyones lives, it's difficult to shrug all the feelings aside and just forget.
I personally have felt this so many times. When I got pregnant at an early age, I never knew how I was going to handle it. A lot of questions ran in my mind and the one that played the most was, "Can I raise a child at only 19 years old?" Then the time that I entered college and I had to balance school, raising a family and part-time work... again, "Can I do this??" Lastly, when someone is always better out there and I'm also trying to be the best, "Will I be able to standout?"

There is nothing that I love more than Japanese food! Reason why Japan has always been on my bucket list as one of the countries that I want to visit and really blessed that I was able to go there last July, thanks to my Mom! ^_^
I discovered quite a few yummy restaurants during my stay in Japan and I miss some of them already. Fortunately, I don't have to wait till my next trip, because Marugame Udon is now open in Manila!

Went it comes to smartphones, we can never have too many options. There are so many brands nowadays that just keep on coming out with awesome phones and features and the only problem for us consumers is, which one to pick? Speaking of new phones, OPPO Philippines has recently launched the much awaited OPPO F3 in the market and I was able to try it out.
In this generation of selfies and groufies, we cannot deny that we are so dependent on our phones and of course, we only want quality photos to post on our social media accounts, right? ;)

Before I officially begin writing a series of my recent trip to Japan, I just want to let you, guys know that this will not be about budget traveling for the sole reason that it was my Mom who spent for us during this trip. It was an early 81st Birthday gift for my Lola and a late graduation gift to me, so I'm really sorry if I won't be including a full expense explanation on my blog. :) But, I will share our itinerary, which I made and how we conveniently processed our visa!
We stayed in Japan for exactly one week and i'll be blogging all our activities for those 7 days. Hope you, guys enjoy this! It has been 6 years since I last traveled abroad, so I was pretty excited for this trip! Especially that Japan has been on my bucket list since I was in Grade school. ♥ :)

Having a baby changes a lot of our choices when it comes to things, be it their food, clothes and diaper. I personally want my kids to be always comfortable and happy, so picking the best diaper when they were growing up was a huge factor. :)
My smallest one Asher was at his last phase of potty training last month and I was so glad I had the opportunity to try out the newest diaper in the market called GOO.N.

For as long as I can remember, I have been in love with journaling. I always carried a notebook in my bag when we would go out or even during my summer vacation in Taiwan. It was my way of expressing myself and keeping track of all the good memories. I'm a clingy person and I want to always hang-on and be able to look back on all the happy memories in my life, no matter what age I may be. I also tend to be forgetful, so this is the best way to remember. ^_^ Plus, my children and future grandchildren can have a part of me too when they read it someday. :)
So, yes, journaling is a huge part of my life and I plan to do it for as long as I can. :)

Ever since I was a kid, my happy place was the bookstore or stationery stores. It gave me a different kind of adrenaline and bliss! My mom supported this addiction very much and would take me to stationery shops even during my summer vacations in Taiwan and that's how I became a notebook and pen hoarder. The end! Just kidding! Haha! :) Well, not the part that I love hoarding notebooks! Still applicable until this very day and I don't have to travel far just to get my fix of cute stationery!

When it comes to cooking, I must admit it isn't my forte. But since I already have a family, it's an absolute must and I also want to learn! That's why when my Mom is around, I often ask her for help and I actually learned how cook because of her! :) I know a lot of people would say their Mom is the best cook, but I also believe that my Mom works wonders in the kitchen! ^_^
Just recently I wanted to learn how to cook your basic roasted chicken, but knowing my mom she would want to add a little flair to it and I'll be sharing with you, guys how we cooked it!
