ARTSY FARTSY AVA: September 2018

Whenever I get the chance to travel, I love how easy and convenient everything is now. Unlike the olden days when you have to go out of your house to book plane tickets and bear with long lines, now we all get to enjoy just sitting in front of our computers or even just our smartphones and easily click on travel deal that we want! This is incredibly helpful for people who are busy and don't have the time of day to just do one thing.
Personally, when I started traveling again last year, I learned about the site called KLOOK TRAVEL. We were in need of a pocket WiFi and the one that I usually book at BGC wasn't unavailable. So, I tried searching for options and thankfully found A LOT on Klook! ^_^ Ever since then, it has been our go-to site for all our booking needs!
This coming September 29-30, KLOOK will be going offline and will have their biggest event yet at SMX Convention Center, SM Aura - the 2018 KLOOK TRAVEL FEST: The country's 1st ever mobile-led travel fair!

It's quite seldom that my husband and I go out at night to party cos we're the homebody or mall types of people. But if there is a cool theme, good food, drinks and the company of amazing friends, count us in!
Just last Saturday, we stepped out of our usual routine and went to Penthouse By The Bay, a new events place where you can dine and party and it's conveniently located at the roof deck of Rizal Park Hotel Manila. :)

As a kid, I'm sure most of us grew up with Star Margarine and having it on hot pandesal in the morning or your mom might have used it in her cooking. There are just so many ways to use it. But now, my kids have another ways to enjoy Star Margarine and that's through their newest App that is interactive, fun and where my Star Kid can go on adventures! :)

Ever since I was a kid, writing has been a passion of mine. I remember bringing a notebook with me wherever I went just so I can jot down notes or random stories that I could think of. Come high school, I discovered blogging and fell in love with it completely. I've been writing for more than a decade and I don't think I will ever stop loving it. But of course, even if you're into something, it doesn't mean that you don't struggle. I personally have writer's block often and I guess it's inevitable cos this is my job and oh my mom brain! Haha! =P I practically write every single day and with that, I can run out of words at times. >_< I also have so many tasks at hand during the day with the kids that my mind can get tired easily. Plus, I create content nowadays and it's important to always come up with fresh ideas and designs. But what to do when you've entered a creative slump too?
I have found a few things that actually helped me overcome these blocks and sharing some, in hopes that it will help you, guys too! :)

When it comes to friends, I would say that I'm fortunate to have found really good ones. With everything that we go through in life, sometimes only your fellow girl can understand you and help you get through it with comfort and no judgements. We all need THAT kind of friend.

I've always loved a good surprise. One of my favorite memories of my mom involves her introducing me to Kinder Surprise and the toy inside this delicious treat.

Now that I'm a mom myself, it's my turn to introduce a different but just-as-tasty surprise to my own kids. Since I've introduced them to Kinder Joy, it has now become a must-buy item every time we hit the grocery stores.

I have reached the point of my last entry for Taiwan April 2018 post! This certain part is significant for me cos after so many years, I finally get to celebrate my birthday again in Taiwan with my Mom and as an added bonus, Ana was also with us! ^_^ Yey!
So, April 21 is my officially birthday and April 22 at around 5:40AM was our flight, if I remember correctly? So, we tried making the most of the 21st as much as we could. I didn't really know what I wanted to do on my birthday, so I let my mom plan the whole thing for us. She decided to bring Ana and I to the Fisherman's Wharf in Tamsui. :)

Took a long break before going back to my travel posts again!! :)
For our fourth day in Taiwan, we headed straight for Taichung yet again, but we were more prepared since we already had a test run the day before from our Zhongshe Flower Market + Rainbow Village adventure. :) However, our trip to Taichung this time was for a tour we were going to take via KLOOK to explore the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village! ^_^

Back when I was still in high school, I did plenty of sports, like your typical Physical Education, tennis and cheer leading. But sadly when I got to college, I had a drastic change in lifestyle cos I had babies and needed to juggle school. I no longer had time for other extracurricular activities. But of course, I still tried my best to stay fit by walking as much as I could and I eat right. I, at least owe that to my health!
As the years progressed, I could see different people also having a change in their lifestyle and have gotten more concerned with monitoring their health and one of the ways that I saw people doing this was through a fitness band. I thought at first that only people who did extreme sports or who are into working out are the only ones who had use for this - totally wrong! Even someone like me who just wants to track their heart rate, steps, food/water intake, sleep and more can also use it. :)
A few months ago, I got my first ever Fitbit Alta HR and I wanna share my overall experience!

Growing up, whenever I needed to buy any sports related equipment or item, there was only one store that I would go to and that's none other than TOBY'S SPORTS. :) From grade school to now, it has been our trusted store and I can't believe that they're now celebrating their 40 years in the industry. :)
Last August 30, 2018, I was able to witness the momentous occasion and how they paid tribute to the men and women behind the success of Toby's Sports in the past four decades.

If there is one word that I can describe our trip to South Korea, it would have to be SWEET! I'm personally not into sugary things, but I am big on visiting cute cafés and Seoul had A LOT of them! I'm fortunate that my Mom was also so game (more game than I imagined!) to try out different ones and in case you visit Korea any time soon, here's a run down of the places in Seoul we visited with cute cafés! ♥ ^_^
