The great thing about our whole Chiang Mai adventure was that all of our activities were booked on Klook. We didn't do any DIY for this trip, so we need not worry about getting lost, navigating to different places and we can rest our minds until we get to the destination. :) Nothing bad about DIY cos I do it often too when traveling, but I pretty much enjoyed taking the back seat on this one hihi!
The start of our Day 2 was early and we were really excited for this cos it has been our dream to visit an elephant sanctuary and turns out, Chiang Mai has a lot of them. :)

Writing this in my favorite coffee shop right now while I wait for Asher to finish his 4 hour class. I'm not really a morning person and I don't think i'll ever be, except for special occasions, like traveling, a incredibly good breakfast or quiet mornings like today, wherein I can catch up on the things I want to do. :) It has been quite a while since I last touched a keyboard with passion. More often than not, it has become purely work related and though, I love my work too, a part of me just misses 2005-2010 Artsy Fartsy Ava who blogged about just the most random things and her interest at heart. I think that's one of my biggest heartache in 2019. It dawned on me so much how I have lost touch with my love for writing. So, in 2020, I promise myself to do so much better. To try my hardest to bring back that old gusto for blogging. :)
Before I fully move on to the new decade, I just want to reflect (like I do every year) on the year that has passed and that even with challenges and struggles, there was more good in it than bad.

I never thought there would come a time that I would be writing more about traveling with friends. :) I'm so used to going with family that it didn't occur to me that someday i'd be in that boat. It started last year when I went on a trip with my best friend in the blogging world, Ana to Taiwan. That was a lot of fun and this year we planned another one for summer with our other bestie, Paul to CHIANG MAI! ^_^ I've been to Bangkok before when I was 12 years old, but never in other parts of Thailand, so this was something new and exciting for me + it was all our first time in the province of Chiang Mai. :)
