I remember when I first entered high school. My mom gave me a Hedgren backpack as a present to welcome my first year. I was so happy, because backpacks were my favourite kind of school bag and it was in the perfect shade of purple. :) I had it for so long and used it every single day, even if I wasn't in school. Reason why it already gave up on me. =P But it was really sturdy!

Which is why I was happy when I heard that Hedgren was having a Style Fair from August 15-16 at Glorietta Activity Center to celebrate their 20th year. I just had to go see their fashion show. Their bags kinda give me a nostalgic feeling. :)

The fashion show featured Hedgren's Fall 2013 collection. Showcased at the runway were Hedgren's Anniversary bag which is a spacious body bag perfect for day-to-day use or for travelling; the Inner City Printed sling bag for casual days; the Hedgren Pure Canvas sling bag which goes well with just about anything; the Hedgren Sporty Chic hand bag which is great for busy days ahead; and the Hedgren Subway tote which is a highly versatile bag meant either for the daily grind or for relaxed weekends.

Aside from the models strutting down the runway with beautiful clothes made by Fashion Institute of the Philippines and Edgar Allan with their Hedgren bags, they also showcased real working women with the new Hedgren bags. Because through the Hedren Style Fair, real people such as working professionals were made to realise that style can be achieved with just the right combination of self-confidence and a basic know-how on grooming and styling. After all, Hedgren is all about real style for real people. :)

I cannot express how bad this typhoon is. We didn't have electricity the whole day, our basement got flooded knee deep, most of our stuff (even the heavy ones) got washed away, and our car had to be moved to higher ground, because the flood water was only an inch away from entering it. I can only imagine what the other families must be going through right now, especially the ones who are already experiencing waist deep flood. But despite feeling helpless at home, I still thank God that we're all safe, including my neighbors who have kids as well.
I am hoping that the all the families here in the Philippines are safe. If you are experiencing extreme flood in your area, please do evacuate ASAP! Do not hesitate in leaving your belongings. Just bring the essentials like a few clothes, food and rain gear. Do not risk your safety.

Right now since I'm stuck at home and only keeping track of the news/happenings outside through the internet, I hope these reposts above help you a bit on what to do if you're unsure. Stay safe, everyone and #PrayforthePhilippines.

They say in life that one of your greatest treasures would be to have a true friend and I couldn't agree more. Because sometimes the irony in life is there are friends who you think will be there for you all throughout your life just because you're together all the time, but in the end leaves you. While, there are friends that you don't see often due to your busy schedules and the distance, but still manages to be there for you no matter what. Those kind of friends are gems. I may not have huge barkadas or numerous friends, but I know in my heart that I have set of friends that I can truly count on through hell and high water.

I've been through a lot of struggle in the past and I know I couldn't have made through those if it weren't for the support/help of my friends. They were my shoulder to cry on and made me stronger, wiser (in my foolish times) and taught me how to be a good friend in return as well. After all, friendship is a two way street; you have to give and take.

To my good friends for more than a decade; Nickie and Joy, I'm so happy we reunited and it was even greater, because despite the long months of not seeing each other, nothing has changed. We still talk, laugh and treat each other the same way. As if it were high school all over again. :) Thank you, both for being in my life!

There were a lot of pretty dresses, jackets and skirts that I couldn't resist. To add more load to my already confused mind, they also have bags and shoes too!

Whenever I hear about Bebe, their signature bedazzled tops always comes to mind. They also carry pants, jackets, maxi dresses and sweat pants that have the same bedazzled print. :)

All the dresses that they have are just too gorgeous for words. But the one I really couldn't take my eyes off on was this sporty-looking cutout dress. I love the cut, mesh and colour. Any woman would look glamorous in this. :)
