Johnson's Baby Milk- Mom's Nourishing Spa

by - November 07, 2012

Being an all around mom can be quite challenging. I juggle work, studies, family time and even taking my son to school. Despite the busy schedule, I can never complain, because all of the things I do is fulfilling and I learn a lot from that. But sometimes having all those things in mind, I forget to take care of myself. Which is why after my son's school,  I made sure to give myself a little "me time" for the Johnson's Baby Milk- Mom's Nourishing Spa event held at SM Makati last October 12, to not only experience their new product, but to also to learn more about what's healthy for my skin. :)

We were given a card that allowed us to try the different booths at the event. Naturally, I was excited to see what they had in store for us Mommies that were there. ^_^

One of the stuff that they had us try was the surprisingly yummy yogurt treat with different toppings such as nuts and chocolates, which are all good for your skin...

If you're wondering what are the benefits of these for your skin, well, Chocolate contains flavonoids that can help protect skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Walnuts and almonds are rich in Vitamin E that locks in  moisture and keeps skin supple. Yogurt has zinc, which helps reduce pores and evens out skin tone. Who knew these yummy treats can nourish your skin, right?:)

I grew up using Johnson & Johnson products. Be it shampoo, conditioner or their baby bath. My Mom made me use them religiously and without a doubt they worked, because I have fair skin now as an adult. Which is why, it's no secret that I use the same products with my son. :)

So, the next stop for me at the event was to experience the Johnson's Baby Milk since this was my first time to encounter it, I got curious on what made it different from the ones I used in the past.

First thing I did was to wash my hands with the Johnson's Baby Bath Milk and as you can see, I'm one happy momma! The scent of the bath milk was the first thing that came to my attention. I'm not a fan of strong scents, because it makes me dizzy. But with this one, it has a soft powdery and out-of-the-shower smell that I really love.

After washing my hands, I went for a free hand massage to experience the Johnson's Baby Lotion Milk that is enriched also with Milk Proteins and Vitamins A (has antioxidant properties) and E (protects skin from ultraviolet radiation).

Believe it or not, after that massage, I have been using their baby bath and lotion milk every night and I can feel how it's making my dry areas smoother. I don't think I even want to go for another kind of bath soap again. :)

The last stop for the day was a healthy and skin-nourishing recipe shared by celebrity chef mom, Ms. Rosebud Benitez, who is also a firm believer in the importance of nourishing her skin inside and out.

She told us that, "We are what we eat" and I find that to be so true, because do you notice when we don't take our vitamins, have more junk food and don't use the right product for our skin, our physical appearance tends to look really stressed out or tired? That's why I think eating healthy is still important despite how busy we mommies get!

All in all, I believe that the skin nourishing benefits that Johnson's Baby Milk gives is helpful to us, Moms, because at least now, I wouldn't have to worry about putting too much skin products. Johnson's Baby Milk alone is something that my baby uses and can also be good for my grown-up skin. If my skin is beaming and healthy, it only means that I'm happy and being that results to a happy relationship with my family and toddler!:)

I'm glad I got to experience this day with my fellow moms and discover something new from Johnson's. I can now enjoy smoother and fairer skin even during my busiest days. :)

  2. I actually use the Johnsons Milk Bath as my body wash for the longest time :) But I read online some of their baby products have parabens and other not so baby-friendly chemicals. :( Hope they've changed formulation already!
