I turned 25!

by - April 22, 2014

So the day that I have been dreading and excited about has finally happened. I am officially 25 years old and there's no escaping it. There have been so many things running in my mind before my birthday and I have realized quite a few things. But i'll talk more about that on my future post. From now, I'll share with you guys what happened during my birthday celebration. :)

At the strike of 12AM of April 21, I naturally stayed up late to welcome my special day and I was so happy to see my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram so lively with greetings.

I'm really thankful to my friends, readers and family for taking the time to greet me in their own sweet way. :)

I slept around 2AM and woke up at 10AM to start my day and meet two of my good friends for lunch. But before heading out, I heard our doorbell rang and this beautiful and huge Fruiquet was there waiting for me. I can't thank my SM Accessories family enough for always remembering my birthday. They sure know how to make a girl feel extra special. Parang ASAP or celebrity birthday!^_^

This gift also doubles as a healthy snack. I already started munching on some this afternoon. Yum! :)

When I met up with my friends Keigh and Dennise at Chocolatier, we had pasta for lunch then they surprised me with this pretty cake and magic candle. :) It was the first cake I received that day and I was just so touched that they remembered. :)

Thank you so much, girls! That surprise really meant a lot to me!:)

And when night time came, we had my birthday dinner over at Vikings Megamall. I've always wanted to try out their buffet, so this was the perfect time.

The food was pretty good. We ate from 6:30 to 10PM! haha! Hunger games lang!:)) I love their sashimi  and dessert the most!:)  Oh and did you know they offer birthday celebrants a free meal?:) It has to be your exact birth date when you go there and if you're with your grandparents who are above 75 years old, they get 50% off their Senior Citizen discount instead of the typical 20% off. Awesome, right?:)

Since I availed the birthday promo, I also got this tiny cake from Vikings. :) Sweet of them! I can't think of a buffet place that does this or maybe I just haven't been there. :)

And along with this tiny cake came an awesome birthday song number. They sang me a happy birthday in English, Tagalog, Chinese and finally Korean! They actually stopped in Chinese, but Gersh told them I wasn't Chinese and that I was Korean! Hahaha! >_< Thank you though!

This little boy enjoyed the steamed egg, frozen yogurt, avocado ice cream, maja blanca and apple cinnamon drink he had. :)

It's a little sad that my Angkong can't be with us. I'm sure he would love it at Vikings cos there's so much food. He was foodie. This is my first birthday without him. But I know even if he's not physically here, in spirit he is with us. :)

I had a really nice birthday celebration. I couldn't have asked for a better 25th gathering.

Of course, I just had to use my Instax to commemorate that day. :)

Like last year, as soon as we came home from dinner, we Skyped with my mom and aunt and blew my candles out for the third time. :)

Despite the distance, my mom still made sure that I had the best birthday. Thank you, Mom!:) I really appreciate the effort. Love you! Your birthday's next!!

Now for the gifts!:) I don't have a lot of them, but I'm sure they were thoughtfully chosen to make me happy. :)

Would you believe that I got to cross out 3 items off my Birthday wish list?? I can't believe I got the best ones too! I can't thank my Hubby enough for this Caramellissima watch from Swatch!:)

Truth be told, I was tampo when we got to our dinner and he said he didn't have anything for me. I was expecting for even just a single flower or card. But none. Up until he handed me the tiny jar of candy. I was actually smirking and ready to laugh. But then, I saw the SWATCH logo and for a moment there, I  didn't even get why a Swatch candy?? Then, I remembered… Oh yah!! The Caremellissima is a candy bracelet! So of course!^_^ It was a really sweet surprise. Sorry for being tampo! Thanks, Bie! I love you!

Like I said, despite the distance, my mom makes ways, like being able to get these lovely gifts to me. The all black Bassike Birkenstock was also on my wish list, so it's totally awesome that I got this too!:) Thank you so much mom for the cute tote bags and Birks!:)

Last but certainly not the least, my gift from Freeway, Ensembles and My Solo. :) Even if my birthday was over, it still felt like my birthday cos of this. Thank you so much for remembering me!:) I was so happy when this greeted me when I woke up today.

Because of the gift I received today, I realized that I can still celebrate my birthday until April ends. After all, it's still my birth month!:)

Again, thank you so much to the people who greeted me or remembered my special day. I really appreciate the love!:) It's not everyday I turn a year older, so thanks for taking the time. It made me feel that growing a year older isn't so bad when you've got people who love you!

“So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”
