Mekeni Belly Bacon

by - November 09, 2016

Did you know that there are 50 to 100 ways to use bacon? Some can be used on salads, pastas, soup, sandwiches and even toppings on ice cream! I never knew this until I actually did a little research online. I love bacon so much and I think no breakfast is complete without it! :) If I could eat one breakfast food forever, I would instantly tell you, it’s B-A-C-O-N! It’s something about it that brings joy and like having a party every breakfast. :)

There may be many ways to use bacon, but usually at our home, I only managed to explore it in two ways, one is Bacon wrapped cheese stick. It’s super easy to make, you only need to wrap each cheese slice with one half strip of bacon and secure it with a toothpick. :) Another way I cook bacon is the typical manner of just frying it or grilling it in the pan.

The bacon that I love using is the Mekeni Belly Bacon. It has the right amount of fat and meat that makes it mouthwatering and flavorful.

I personally put a teaspoon of butter before actually cooking the bacon on the grill and as soon as I placed the strips of bacon onto the grill, my kids immediately heard it sizzle and the smell of bacon that filled our house got them all excited. :) It takes me at least 20 minutes to cook these rashers. :)

The look of perfectly cooked crispy bacon with savory lightly salted goodness that wouldn’t escape any of my family members’ forks. :)

Mekeni’s Belly Bacon is absolutely delicious and wouldn’t mind experimenting more on the many ways I can use their bacon. :)

Did you know that bacon can be healthy for you too? It contains thiamin, vitamin B12, zinc and selenium? These are essential nutrients that the body does not produce naturally. It also has omega-3 fatty acids and contributes to your protein intake.  Of course, eating bacon should be done moderately and not abuse it for a healthier lifestyle. :)

Mekeni as a brand carries a lot of our favorite breakfast food. Visit http://www.mekeni.com or https://www.facebook.com/mekeniph to see more. :)
