Baby Dove: No perfect moms, just real ones.♥

Being a mother is no easy task. Especially if it comes to you earlier than you expected. I personally experienced being a mother at the early age of 19. I was just about to go to college then and I didn't know how parenting was gonna go for me. I was afraid, nervous and didn't know what to do. It wasn't easy, but now that I'm 28 years old, I don't regret a single thing, because being a mom is the best thing that ever happened to me. :)

Motherhood is a series of rollercoaster when it comes to emotions. One minute you feel worry, then happiness, then excitement and also at times sadness. You feel everything ten times more now than when you weren't a parent yet. Most of all, you simply want the best for your kids at all times.


I remember one experience I had when Athan, my first born was still a baby. I just entered college and my classes back then were super early! I would start around 9AM and end at 4PM. It was a full load schedule, so at night, it's a must for me to get enough sleep. But of course, knowing babies, they choose the best time to stay wide awake and that's during bedtime! >_< I distinctly recall rocking him endlessly and even crying already cos he wouldn't sleep. :( I was beyond exhaustion, but can't snooze cos he was still awake. There were also instances when I had to give up things that normal teenagers would do cos I had to prioritize family life. But I never did feel bad. :) What's important is that, I get to see my children grow up happy, healthy and that they know, I'm always here for them.♥

Aside from the struggles of being a young mom that I pointed out above, I also faced a lot of fears. The primary concern that I had in the beginning was, what if being such a young mom meant I couldn't be a good one? I had doubts in myself. But my two boys taught me that I am enough. I am a good mom and no matter the challenges, I now know that there are no perfect moms, just real ones.♥

We all face fears, obstacles and tough times, but being a mom is reward every single day. It's what drives me to be better and I'm very fortunate to be called THEIR mom. :)

So, no matter what you're going through, always remember that your kids love you and believe in you. Your way and your care is the best there is!
