5 Places with cute cafés in Seoul!♥

by - September 02, 2018

If there is one word that I can describe our trip to South Korea, it would have to be SWEET! I'm personally not into sugary things, but I am big on visiting cute cafés and Seoul had A LOT of them! I'm fortunate that my Mom was also so game (more game than I imagined!) to try out different ones and in case you visit Korea any time soon, here's a run down of the places in Seoul we visited with cute cafés! ♥ ^_^

1. MYEONGDONG

Ever since I saw STYLENANDA PINK HOTEL on Instagram, it became one of the places that I badly wanted to visit. Unfortunately, during my trip to Korea last Winter 2017, I wasn't able to drop by cos I honestly didn't know that it could be easily found within Myeongdong's shopping district. So, for our Summer 2018 trip, I made sure that this will be a priority! Haha! >_<

STYLENANDA in Myeongdong is not only the cutest building around, but it has this hotel themed thing going on and inside, you have 5 floors of great beauty and fashion finds + a pink pool themed café! The mainly serve drinks here and it's the perfect place to chill and enjoy while on your shopping break. :) The drink that I always order here is just the basic lemonade and it's 5,000KRW or Php 122

Every nook and cranny of this place is Instagram-worthy! So pretty! They allow people taking photos, so that's a bonus! :)

Myeongdong or Seoul in general also has the cutest Baskin Robbins!♥♥♥

2. IHWA-DONG

While on our hike up going to Ihwa Mural Village, we happened to spot this travel themed café and since we were already exhausted from the long climb and under extreme heat, we decided that this place would be a great spot to take our break. :)

The inside is pretty simple with cute subtle details of travel and from what I know, they serve lunch or dinner food, but since this was just a quick stop for us, we just had some mango ice shaving dessert. :) BTW, I don't really recommend that flavor cos the mango was sour! >_< Maybe not their speciality! I think we should have gone with another flavor that Korea is known for. :) But I did see great reviews when it came to their other food!

3. CHINA TOWN

Heading in Chinatown, my mom and I accidentally stumbled upon this super cute café. It's called C27 Cheesecake & Coffee and it has 5 floors in total and each one has a different theme! :) Not to mention, they also serve yummy cheese flavored ice cream topped with gold! Yaaaah!

I recently saw online that they also shot a Kdrama here, though I'm not familiar with the series? It's called Queen of Mystery 2

I think out of all the cafés my Mom and I went to, this would have to be her ultimate favorite! All the floors were like a dream for her hehe. ^_^ I personally loved the giant cheese and fork! The interior of this place is top notch! Again, Instagram-worthy! ;)

Other coffee shops that I spotted in Chinatown, but wasn't able to try...

You can easily see these when you go inside Chinatown. They're just at the front line, so it won't be hard to miss. :)

Another thing that I loved in Chinatown and you can also find this in other parts of Seoul cos it seems like their main cafés there (like our version of Frenchbaker) is PARIS BAGUETTE!

Lots of choices when it comes to yummy pastry and the cutest coffee cups! Need I say more??

Getting there: Incheon Station, Subway Line 1 /Exit 3
ADDRESS: 19 Chinatown-ro 44beon-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon

4. DONGDAEMUN DESIGN PLAZA

While trying to find a place to have dinner, my mom and I saw this inside of Dongdaemun Design Plaza. :) It's Emack & Bolio's Ice cream x Heaven on Tops. They're both dessert places and they have the cutest decorations a.k.a. toys! The toys are from @WoozooSpace on Instagram if you're curious! You can also play pingpong during your stay here! :)

Getting there: go down on Dongdaemun History & Culture Park subway station

5. HONGDAE

When I was fixing our itinerary for Seoul, one of the things that my mom requested was for us to visit cute places to eat and since Korea is abundant in that, we visited one of the most-go-to ones! During our Hongdae day, we went to Thanks Nature Café. They're known as a sheep café and serve drinks and desserts. :) When we got there around 3PM, we were actually surprised that the sheep weren't around. For a minute there, my mom thought they just had false advertising. Haha! so we asked the staff. Turns out, they were out for bath and would come by around 6:00PM. So, we went around Hongdae first and when it struck 6:00, we headed back and there they were! ^_^ I really have to commend their cleanliness, because the area didn't smell bad at all even though there are animals. :)

The sheep are enclosed outside the café, so you need not worry about sharing your food with these cuties. But you do have to order something for the chance to interact. :) My mom and I shared not-so sweet, but cute-looking honey dew ice shaving!

Getting there: go down Hongik University Subway Station and you have to walk a little bit to spot Thanks Nature Café. :) I recommend that you Google Maps the address to find it easier. :)
ADDRESS: 486 Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea

After our playtime with the sheep, my mom asked where else I wanted to go and I said that I really wanted to visit the Pink Pool Café that was also in Hongdae. So, we went!

This was a bit hard for us to find because every time I tried to Google maps STYLENANDA in Hongdae I wouldn't get any accurate results. Fortunately, we were able to ask some friendly Korean ladies and they gave us the exact pin or address! :)

This particular Pink Pool Café is also located inside a STYLENANDA store and is at the top floor. It's much bigger than the one in Myeongdong and the aesthetic is so on point and just stunning! This is my favorite branch! They serve drinks and dessert here, so again, if you wanna relax and take cute photos, this is the perfect place! :)

My advice when you want to visit the Pink Pool Cafés is go really early. Like maybe during the first hour of opening cos usually there are a lot of people and good seats get taken easily.

That's it! :) Those are the five places in Seoul that we got to visit with cute or quirky cafés! :) Hope this helps in case you also want to add it to your itinerary!
