Home away from home at Citadines Millennium Ortigas.♥

by - April 19, 2019

When it comes to taking a break from the busy days we have as a family, it's always nice to have a little getaway even if it's just within the city. :) Just a few weeks ago, the boys and I had an overnight stay at Citadines Millennium Ortigas and it was one of the best hotel staycations we had! ^_^

Located right at the heart of Ortigas is this beautiful serviced residence or more aptly called apartment hotel managed by The Ascott Limited. Staying at this particular area has many perks, like having access to major shopping malls, dining places and other known establishments.

The posh and welcoming lobby of Citadines Ortigas :)

The Citadines Millennium Ortigas caters to young business executives, couples and families. They have 293 units available and you have the choice of picking from three apartment types: Studio, 1 - Bedroom, 2 Bedroom or 3 Bedroom. :)

My first thought of our stay here was that it would be the usual kind of staycation. But Citadines Ortigas truly knows how to capture my heart through the thorough attention to details of their guests and how their rooms make it feel like a home away from home - cozy and relaxing.

Giving you a little room tour of our apartment and why this would make a great hotel choice for your holiday getaway...

Our apartment type is the 1-Bedroom Deluxe (58sqm) and based on the rate I found online, it's around Php 5,900 per night and comes with breakfast. :)

It's not hard to feel at home at Citadines when you have everything you need. From it being spacious, having its own living and dining areas, WiFi, washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen and so much more. You wouldn't want to leave your room anymore cos its complete! :) Plus, the whole apartment is spick and span!

The wonderful thing that I found in our room was the lovely welcome sign that greeted us, the cute Citadines bears that my kids immediately snuggled up to and since they knew I love artsy things, they prepared art materials that my kids and I could enjoy. ^_^ It was incredibly thoughtful and made us feel so giddy!

They even laid out snacks, crossword puzzles and a travel-themed coloring book to keep the kiddos busy! :) It's no wonder why it was difficult to pull these two out of the room for dinner cos they actually didn't want to leave anymore! >_<

It took some convincing the boys but finally we got them out of the room to have dinner at RELISH LUXE CAFÉ, a restaurant conveniently located below the hotel. :)

The cozy, modern and beautiful interiors of Relish also matches their scrumptious cross-continental food offerings. :) We enjoyed Artichoke dip, Roasted chicken, Special Sisig, Wild Mushroom with truffle oil and Baked Salmon that night.^_^

The price range at Relish goes from Php 195 to Php 1,400 depending on the meal. :)

Timely during our stay, it was also Earth Hour. So, after our dinner, we headed to the Garden deck of the hotel to do our small part for the planet by turning off our room lights to reduce electricity consumption. :) Citadines Ortigas prepared snacks, musical performance and cute tipis for the guests. :)

After the band's session, the hotel staff encouraged guests to join in their little karaoke session and I was extremely surprised that my eldest son Athan opened up during this time. He's usually quite shy and for some reason, he told me that he wanted to sing his favorite song "Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver. Of course, this got me excited and I encouraged him to go for it. ^_^ Happy to report that he finished the whole song and what really touched my heart was the kind guests that clapped for him after he sang and one even shook his hand. So thankful that Citadines Ortigas had this event and made it possible for Athan to become more outgoing. :)

After Earth Hour, we headed back to our room and the first thing that my youngest son Asher wanted to do was paint! :) Another thing I love about staycations is that they never look for gadgets during this time and actually get creative in playing.

Popped open the paint set that Citadines gave us and off he went to finish this canvas. :) He was creating another abstract masterpiece here! ^_^

A good night's sleep in our comfy bed means good morning and happy faces ready for our last day in Citadines! Really didn't want to leave but we woke up early to make the most out of our day. :)

Enjoyed another dining experience at Relish for our breakfast buffet. :) Writing about this actually makes me miss the food there. Must go back!

After breakfast and resting our tummies for a bit, we headed down to check out some of the amenities that Citadines has to offer. :)

SWIMMING POOL

The boys always look forward to pool time and naturally seeing this made them excited. We treated this as a great start to their summer! :) Most of the time we lazed about their pool chairs. ^_^

GYM and SPA

Even when you're traveling, you can still keep up your fitness goals with their gym. You can also relax and release tension with their Spa/massage service. :)

RESIDENT'S LOUNGE

Here resident guests can exclusively make use of the area to work, lounge or enjoy the view of the poolside and city. :)

LAUNDERETTE

For people who are booked in studio rooms and here for a longer stay are welcome to do their laundry on-site. They have a washing machine and dryer service. :)

My family and I had such an amazing stay at The Citadines Millennium Ortigas. :) They have super courteous staffs, gorgeous rooms, fully equipped facilities and high quality - best customer service. The experience was more than I expected and it made us feel like this was our second home. I highly recommend them for staycations with your family.
