SEAKING: Pan seared salmon recipe.♥

by - September 26, 2019

It has been a while since I last did a recipe post here on the blog, so I thought why not add one before September ends? :) This is one of the easiest things to cook for me and something that my family loves as well - Pan seared salmon! Now, the great thing about making this is that, all the ingredients you need can be easily found in the supermarket and will only take you a total of 20 to 30 minutes to make. :) Fast, right? Yummy too! ;)

Let's jump right to it!

Last week, I got some Sea King Wild Alaskan Salmon in different cuts/kinds: Chunks, Belly, Steak and Slab. It got me hungry just thinking of the many recipes I can do with them. :) But the winning part of it all was that, I found out that Sea King's salmon is imported all the way from Alaska! The wild kind and not farmed; They say farmed salmon contains more fat, while the wild one is higher on minerals and is said to be more sustainable - lower impact on the environment.

In general, salmon is good for our body cos it is high in omega 3-fatty acid that benefits our heart and brain. It's also a good source of Vitamin A, D and protein!

For this particular recipe, I chose the Keta Salmon Slab. :)

INGREDIENTS

♥ 2 Salmon slabs
♥ 4 Tbsp Olive Oil (add more if you see needed)
♥ 3 Tbsp Butter (add more if you see needed)
♥ 2 Tbsp Minced garlic (add more if you wish)
♥ 2 Tbsp lemon juice
♥ Salt and Pepper to taste
♥ 1 Tbsp Chopped Parsley

*Note:
The measurements are more of estimates. It's always good to base it on your taste preference. As for me, I love love butter and garlic hihihi*

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan and add the two salmon slabs. Put salt and pepper to taste.
2. Cook the salmon on each side for 5 minutes or until you see a change in color. Carefully flip it from time to time.
3. Remove the salmon slabs from the pan. Melt the butter in return, add garlic and cook for a few seconds and stir in lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste.
4. Place the salmon slabs back in the pan and mix the butter sauce to it.
5. Add the parsley on top and serve!

FINISH!

After taking out the salmon slabs, I also cooked some veggies with melted butter, garlic and salt and pepper. :) Pasado na ba for restaurant? Hehe.

On a serious note, this was a hit with my husband that he actually just didn't settle for veggies. He also had rice! YEY! I hope this is something that interests you, guys for easy and yummy meal preps!
