Mommy Mundo x Ava Zabat 2022 Planner

Ever since I was a kid, I already had a strong affinity when it comes to stationery products. Whether that be paper, stickers or pens. I love them all. I would gladly enter a bookstore rather than a candy store, and as I got older, planners entered my life in college and ever since then, I couldn't imagine my days without it. I remember even panicking so much and borderline crying when I was in my first year because I thought I lost my planner and all my exam schedules, to-do list and reminders was on it. Thankfully, I just forgot it was under my chair.😅 Even when I graduated, I still turned to planners for journaling purposes. Needless to say, I just can't live without one. So, you could say, it would be such a dream to design my very own planner. But that really didn't enter my mind since I thought that was a long shot  - I should have known better, because, never say never! ;)


I think it was around September when Janice of Mommy Mundo messaged me if I would be interested to collaborate with them and create a planner cover for their 2022 Planner. At first I was so surprised because their Mommy Mundo Mom 24/7 Planners is no stranger to me. I know it has had several editions already and a lot of Moms love it and turn to it as their planner. :) So, I was not only honored to partner with Mommy Mundo but also excited! ^_^ Also, nervous hihi. I really hoped I would do it justice.

The theme for the 2022 Planner was circled around HOPE, so I worked around the symbols of it as inspiration for my design and came up with these two...

If you guys know me, bright colors is my main aesthetic and for this one, the rainbow 🌈 was the highlight as a symbol of hope with minor flowers for the left design. It took me hours to think of the design because I really want it to spark joy for anyone who would look at it or pick it as their planner. :) I passed these two watercolor painting design to Mommy Mundo and as you can tell, the winning design was the right one.💜

To be honest, I was nervous about my design when I saw the official poster for the planners come out because, one, my design looks so contrasting from the two and just look at how awesome they look. So pretty! 

The red abstract painting is designed by Jo Uygonco and the floral one is by Mia de Lara. I remember I picked Mia's design for the Mommy Mundo 2021 planner.💖



When I officially got my hands on my planner design, my heart definitely fluttered. My. first. ever. cover.😳 It's surreal to me and I was just so happy to see it in actual.🌈 The only thing I had to worry about was, if anyone would like my design.




Then... this happened.😢💕🌈 I am beyond grateful that a lot of Moms loved my rainbow design and picked it as their Mom 24/7 Planner 2022. My heart is overflowing!
