A visit to the Wetpark Adventure Lagoon at McKinley!

by - March 23, 2023

The summer season is almost here and that only means vacation for the kiddos. As parents we want to make the most out of the few months they are off from school and the planning of activities start as early as now. For me, there are tons of things we can do. Enroll them in summer activities, like art classes, sports clinics or even go abroad. But in case that you can’t go far or plan lengthy activities, you can always go on a swimming day! :) One of the nice experiences we’ve had lately was from Wet Park Adventure Lagoon locate at the Venice Grand Canal Mall. Sharing with you a glimpse of our fun day there through this blog in case you want to go in the future. :)

It’s not the first time I’ve heard about the Wet Park since I’ve seen it on TikTok a couple of times. So, when the opportunity came to go, I immediately dived into it because I know my kids would definitely love it. :) But of course, since this is our first time, I still didn’t know what to expect.

If you’re wondering, the Wet Park is an indoor water park that is located inside the 3rd level of the Venice Grand Canal Mall in McKinley Hill, Taguig City. Their ticket prices ranges from Php 688 to Php 788 for walk-ins and they have a 10% discount for online bookings that you can do here: WETPARK BOOKING

Some of the things you need to know before visiting:

1. They have time slots. So, best to always book ahead, so you are assured of getting the time slot or schedule that you want. They also conduct private events/Birthday parties, that’s why reservations are highly encouraged.

2. They don’t have age restrictions, so (1) infant is already considered one child. One ticket is already inclusive of (1) child + (1) adult companion = 3 hours.

3. Bring your own towels and toiletries as they do not provide that in their shower areas. But in case you forget any swimming related stuff, you can easily purchase at their souvenir shop.

4. Proper swimming attire is a must. No cotton or denim stuff allowed since that can clog up the filtration system. You’ll also need Aqua shoes and swim caps. But if you don’t have any, not to worry, as you can rent some inside like we did. :) Rent prices: Aqua shoes (Php 30/pair) and Swim Cap (Php20).

5. They have lockers for your things. But in our experience, try not to bring super huge bags or really bulky things as they might not all fit inside one locker.

6. They don’t have food yet available there. But you‘re inside the mall and can easily access restaurants before or after your time at the Wet Park. :)

Now, to the actual swimming part! So, the Wet Park is the first and only indoor Aqua Playground currently in the Philippines. Their water level is just ankle level with adults, so it’s pretty safe for toddlers and big kids. Plus, they also have an attentive staff all around the park to make sure everyone is observing safe play. :)

The great thing about this being indoor is that, no matter the weather, you don’t have to worry. You can enjoy your time here and you also won’t get sun burned! Hihi. Their water temperature is also controlled, so it’s not too cold. :)

The moment we entered this place, I already knew my boys would have so much fun. You can see the big smiles on their faces. There is something to do for all ages. My eldest son Athan enjoyed the rope course and conquered his fear of heights via the zipline. My second son Asher and youngest daughter Moon loved the slides. :)

Thank you, McDonalds for our yummy lunch! My swimmers were SUPER hungry after. ^_^
To be honest, the kids had a lot of fun that 3 hours was not enough for them. They’re already asking me when we’ll be coming back again and I hope that we get to visit soon! :) Really glad we were finally able to try out Wet Park Adventure Lagoon and definitely would recommend it. :)
