This quarantine has made me spark up a lot of old hobbies and develop new interests. One of which is the ever so popular game on Nintendo Switch - Animal Crossing New Horizons. The first time I ever heard of this game was sometime in March. But in all honesty, I haven't been interested in computer games for a very loooong time. The last was probably the Game Boy Colored and after that, I pretty much was occupied with journaling and non-gamer stuff haha. =P Hence, I didn't jump the bandwagon immediately. But come April, I started getting curious cos 90% of the time, my feed would have majority of my friends updating about their island, the designs they've made and remarks on how crazy fun the game is. The problem during this time for me was that we were on strict lockdown and all stores in the mall was closed, so I couldn't get my hands on the physical game. I know there was a digital version of it but the Hubby and I just found it too pricey. So, we both waited and when June arrived, he got ACNH for me as an anniversary gift.♥

Another year means another round of our much awaited toy event of the year - TOYCON!♥ My family and I really look forward to this. The moment we learn about the schedule of it, we already have that particular weekend reserved. :)
For this year's TOYCON, it was held last June 28-30, 2019 and fortunately, I was able to go to Day 1 with my friends and Day 2 with my family!

Ever since 2016, the Hubby and I have been an avid fan of going to TOYCON and we always look forward to this every year. :) For 2018, TOYCON is happening from June 8-10. We had the chance to go on the first day since the Hubby has a two week break before he starts at his new job, so this was perfect! Going on the first day has its perks cos you get dibs on photos and seeing everything. Plus, it isn't as congested as the weekend. :)
If kids have the park or toy store as their 'playground', this 3 day pop culture event is our adult version of playground and here's a glimpse of this year's TOYCON POPLIFE FanXperience at SMX! ^_^

When you have a baby or kids, there are so many things to consider when it comes to the stuff that they use or what we buy, because you would want what's best for them or something that will actually have an overall good benefit for them. :)
A few weeks ago, I was sent by Richprime Global. Inc. one of the most popular toy brands that they carry for children and that's none other than, Vtech. :) I got the Vtech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker and will be sharing with you, guys some of my thoughts about this product. :)

When it comes to gift-giving, it can be difficult at times because you get certain concerns, like does he/she have this already? Will he/she like this? or the thought that he/she has everything already. I'm sure at some point, you heard yourself saying or pondering about these. I myself do!
But what exactly do you get people who almost have everything or who are non-materialistic?

Every time the kids and I make a trip to McDonald's to eat, the first thing that they look at isn't the menu, because the already know what they want. They always look forward to what the next Happy Meal is going to be and last week, I actually took Athan with me to submit some requirements at my school and after I took him to McDo to have lunch. As expected he made a dash towards the Happy Meal toy display and got excited to see the Smurfs with their little houses. :) So, of course we got one! :)
But today, we had a surprising package in the mail and it definitely made the boys über happy!

If this generation is stuck with iPads, internet and games, I grew up watching a lot of cartoons on TV. If you think there isn't any proof of how much I watched back then, just look at my thick glasses! >_< Haha! But seriously, I watched from day till night and one of my favorite cartoons of all time was The Powerpuff Girls! ^_^

LEGO is the toy that every generation has come to know and play with. I don't think there is any child in the world who doesn't know what LEGO is and what the brand represents. It has been a great tool and outlet for creativity and widening the imagination. I guess that's why every parent wouldn't hesitate to let their child play with it. :) Personally, our house is actually filled with LEGO that we step on it once in a while! >_< Haha!
To be honest, my kids aren't the only ones obsessed with LEGO. I grew up playing with it and so did my husband. :) My kids were greatly influenced by my husband's love for it. He's pretty much the LEGO expert in our family. Right now, I just collect the mascots of the mini figure series. But he has like crates and crates of LEGO! He also blogs about them, visit his blog - NOTHING BUT BRICK to see how much he L-O-V-E-S Lego haha! :)
So, when we got invited to the opening of the first LEGO store in the North - TriNoma, we definitely couldn't miss it for the world! ^_^

I have been attending so many expos and conventions lately related to toys that I am on high! When I started blogging, toys and kawaii stuff weren't really that IN. People looked more into fashion. Thankfully, fashion is also a love of mine, so it wasn't hard. But I super love pop culture! Who wouldn't?? The mixing of western and eastern ideas + attitudes is just amazing! :) Thankfully now, I get to blog more about these things!
This year was my first ever AsiaPop ComicCon experience with the Husband! It was held at the SMX Convention Center last August 26-28, 2016.

The official trailer of The Secret Life of Pets has been showing in cinemas whenever the family and I go on movie dates and I can't help but get curious! :) The preview is already so cute and I'm sure the kids would totally dig it!
To make it even more exciting, McDonald's has joined in the fun! They now have The Secret Life of Pets Happy Meal for the family to collect. :)

Aside from fashion and book stores, nothing excites me more than toy stores! I'm that kid in the candy shop who can't help but feel giddy from head to foot, and all the more when there are ToyCons and Toy Expos around. :)
Speaking of Toy Expos, Toy Kingdom has officially launched the first day of their Toy Expo 2016 today! :) Fortunately, SMX Manila is near our place, so it was a breeze to go there and my morning schedule was free. I had to take advantage of it!
Toy Expo is a biennial event of Toy Kingdom which started in 2012. This year, it's from August 19-21, 2016.

No matter what age I am, I think I will forever love toys! And how can I resist them? They just keep getting better! If I had a baby girl, I would probably be the one initiating the toy store visits! >_< Haha! One brand that I really love is Shopkins and I believe a lot of little girls go crazy for them. Some even have a huge collection! :) I only have a humble set, but I recently got the latest Season 5!

Being 27 and my husband 30 years old has never stopped us from being kids at heart. We love toys very much and a trip to the mall is never complete without a visit to the toy store! :)
When it comes to toys, my husband is more of a Lego and Gundam collector, while I'm into Disney and Funko Pops. Though, occasionally I also love collecting the mascots of certain Lego Minifigure series. :) Our favorite ground to search for new and cool toys is Greenhills. That place has so many stores that cater to different kinds of collectors. We never get tired of the place. Even our kids love it there! ^_^
So, imagine when it was announced that ToyCon 2016 was going to happen this June 10-12, 2016! It's the same week as our 9th Anniversary and thought this would be the perfect way to celebrate it.
