What art thou vanity?
Was invited to attend another blogger event yesterday by my friend Stephanie for their company PMP Communications' Ultimate Vanity Fair. It was held at The SM Skydome and the main agenda was to know more about Beauty, Health, Wellness, Lifestyle and Vanity!:)
Like in previous events I had my Blogger Event Buddy a.k.a "BEB" Ana to go with. We both did our own separate commuting since the event was to start at 3PM and my class ended at 2:15 and Ana was somewhere else, so we just decided to meet at North Edsa's MRT station. Funny thing is, because of the unpredictable weather, we both brought along our outfit/shoes with us instead of already wearing them going there. Hihi. :) Fashion commuters, indeed!
When we got to the venue, we were immediately greeted by my friend Steph who handed us our name tags with a big smile. :) Then as we got to our seats, we saw familiar faces, like Bestie, Liz, Kira and many more bloggers. The event started with the company John Robert Powers teaching us about proper posture, sitting positions, The do's and don'ts when in public and more.
Really helpful tips to make you feel good about yourself inside and out
Here are some photos of us during and after the JRP talk :)...
Me and BEB Ana
Ana's oh-so-cute nail art+bow ring!
Me and Bestie
SUPER love her outfit and hair, don't you??:)
We did our outfit shots really early this time..=p
Blazer: thrifted | Inner top: mango | Jeans: crissa |
Our Shakeys lunch..NOM!
The JRP talk was followed by The Body Shop, who showed us their new Autumn Trend Collection and how to apply make-up on...
I found what they taught us useful, because I am COMPLETELY clueless when it comes to make-up, moreover applying them on my face. Plus, whenever I go to Body Shop I usually buy their lotions, conditioner, bath gels and lip balm. Nothing else. But their make-up is definitely a good buy! I'll blog a separate entry about my review/experience about their products soon. :)
For the bloggers event. We were all asked to go up on stage by one of the event organizer/host Paul, then each of us had to introduce ourselves, our blog and what we write about. When it was my turn, I was surprised to find out that Paul read all our blogs! SO cool! After our introductions we were divided into two to play a game wherein we had to form words from the two given words: "I AM VAIN & BLOGGERS" Our team didn't win, but it was so much fun I felt so hyped!:)
Got voted as team leader and I wanted to win badly =p
After the game, Liz of Project Vanity gave us 10 tips on how to level up our blog...
#2 Know what you're talking about!
Really enjoyed her talk. She's a pro when it comes to blogging. Her tips were short, but straight to the point. If you're planning to start a blog, you should start reading her entries to know the ways or if you're just curious as to what blogging is about..go! :)
After Liz spoke our event kinda ended as well, but of course we couldn't leave without a bunch of picture taking first!
Me and Denise
Finally we got to talk longer and take a picture :)
Karl, Nicole, Me, and Bestie
Finally THE CLASS PICTURE with event organizer Paul :)
How can this not be THE best event in the world?? Look at how much freebies we got in our hands!=)
The event ended around 6:30PM. All of my blogger friends left already except me because I had to wait for Gersh to fetch me. He was stuck due to traffic, so while waiting for him here's what I did..
Enjoy a 2 minute massage from Seri Asia (Will blog about them soon!) It was gooood. Ate said I had a lot of stress on my back :(
Have a Body Shop free make over (Must try their products in order to make a review, of course!=p)
Hang out with Steph! Such a pretty and nice event organizer! Stayed with me the whole night while waiting for Gersh :)
Bumped into Rapha! SO nice to see you again!! IMY!
And around 8:30PM Gersh eventually arrived to fetch me. We went to Trinoma to eat at Taco Bell. We have been craving for Taco Bell since last week and the blogger event being at North Edsa was perfect timing to eat there!
LOVE
Checked out the loots, when I got home and my grandparents REALLY loved Walter's bread. Thinking of getting that brand next time at the grocery. Also here are two of my favorites...
Cute kikay kit from NaRaya and Non-sticky lotion from Seri Asia :)
(Did you know that NaRaya originated in Thailand?:) First encountered the store when I went to Bangkok circa 2001. Will blog about that too! )
I unquestionably enjoyed this event. The friendly organizers, the games, the food, overflowing freebies, the bonding with my fellow bloggers, meeting new people, and going to different booths. All in all I'm just thankful once again for the great opportunity that was given to me to experience yet another blogger event. *feeling BLESSED* :) Thank you so much, Steph for inviting me! And to Gersh for dealing with unbearable traffic just to fetch me. Best boyfriend award goes to you! Off to a great weekend!

You bloggers are so lucky! Reading your entry made me wish I was there to listen to the talks of JRP, Body Shop and Project Vanity. I could sure learn a lot from the interesting topics. Especially on the make-up part. I, too, am totally clueless. Oh well. :D
ReplyDeleteI love the pop of pink in your ensemble and the Shakey's meal made me really crave for, well, Shakey's. :D
