Corporate chic

by - November 22, 2011

It's one of those days when you're wearing something you really like but you have no one to take your photos or simply put, your boyfriend isn't around. =P Luckily, during these instances I  have my grandmother who is game to take my photos yesterday before going to school. :)

necklace: sugar-kissed | shoes: primadonna

One thing you should know about me is that I hate being in a corporate outfit. I feel so stiff and old whenever I'm in them. So when I get the chance to spice things up, I definitely do!

How to do that? First instead of picking a typical polo with stripes or one color to pair up with my pants or slacks, I went for a blouse that had more because it gives the outfit a bit of a youthful feeling and less boring, don't you think?:) With the bag, I would recommend maybe a satchel. You can carry it in two ways: Hanging directly from your shoulder or the cross body type. If you want a little business vibe to it, tuck the straps in the bag and carry it like a briefcase.

But in case you're the type who also prefers wearing plain tops/polos (I admit, I do too!) then accessorizing is the next key to make your outfit look corporate chic!

Just like this beautiful necklace I got from Sugar-Kissed. Even if I already have a colorful top, you can't deny that the necklace made it really stand out. I think you can also wear it in two ways, one is how I wore it and the other just showing flower pattern of the bib necklace. Cute, right?:) Thank you so much to Chris and Iris for this lovely piece and for even naming it after me. Aww!^_^ You can check out their store for their bib necklaces and cute bracelets!

Lastly, when you've got your clothes, bag and accessories ready, the only left is the shoes. :)

As you can see on my outfit post, I'm not wearing pumps or heels. My feet easily get tired from heels and my feet bruise easily in them because I have to walk all the time when I'm in school. Reason why I opted for my wedges from Primadonna and my first impression was they're so high, might tire my feet? But when I tried walking in them, surprisingly they don't and no bias here, they don't hurt at all. I actually can't wait to wear them again!:) So, if you need the perfect shoes for your corporate outfit, I suggest wedges. ;)

Hope this "Corporate Chic" entry was interesting enough to you guys! That's all for now!
