Unconventional bride

I didn't know how to start my OTD entry today, so I just had to make Train's song, "Marry Me" as an ice breaker and I guess it's quite obvious why my title also goes with the lyrics. :) As some of you know, after 5 years of being together, Gersh officially proposed to me July of last year and since we still have some major saving to do for a Church wedding, we opted to have a civil wedding first. :)

I didn't announce this in any of my social accounts, because I wanted it to be a surprise, so, SURPRISE! haha! :)) I am now officially, Mrs. Ava Te-Zabat!:)

And as you can see, the Artsy Fartsy in me didn't want to go for a white theme. I got this beautiful turquoise lace dress last month and I knew I just had to wear it to our special day. Luckily the hubby happily agreed and got the same color for his outfit! Hence, I am an unconventional bride. :)

Aside from the unconventional color, I also went for off the wall, leopard heels. :) Thank you to my Mom for getting me this pair months ago and reminding me today that I actually had them or else I would have gotten plain nude shoes.=P

Civil weddings are simple. But I wanted to add my artsy flair to it, so I just had to add details to it. Which brings me to thank two awesome artsy friends as well; Beam who made me a bouquet out of felt in just half a day. She's SO amazing! Despite asking her day before the wedding, she was still able to accommodate me and just look at how lovely her felt flowers are!^_^ Also, to my Beb Ana who made my stunning hair clip and wire bracelet. Again, despite asking day before, she was still able to craft something absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much to both of you!!!♥ My look wouldn't have been complete without these! You girls made my day!
