Realme 7 Pro Review | Fastest-charging smartphone in the Philippines

Last September 30, realme Philippines officially launched the new realme 7 series and the realme Buds Q. One of which is the new realme 7 Pro. This October I got my hands on it and I was able to personally test the phone out myself and I want to share the features that it has and my first impressions about it. :)

When realme first launched here in the Philippines in 2018, I was able to try out their C1 unit and I found the specs really nice for a phone that was only Php 5,000. This became my eldest son Athan's phone because it was perfect for him to do his little games, connect with us, and more. :)

Now, I get to try out something new from them again, so I got pretty excited. :) The new realme 7 Pro is said to be the country's fastest-charging smartphone. But is it really? I had to personally test this out because normally this is a huge problem for me with iPhone. It gets drained easily when I use LTE, watch videos and edit my content. There was even a time I didn't immediately notice that it was already at 1% battery life while I was editing a video because I know I just charged it an hour ago and at 96% last I checked. >_< I had to rush to the nearest charger and we know that it takes an hour or more for iPhones to fully charge. So, how did the realme 7 Pro's charging go?



At 5:17PM, I started out at 23% battery life. I plugged my realme 7 Pro using the 65W SuperDart Charger(USB Type- C Port) and waited 7 minutes exactly to see how many percent it will charge and if it's really fast. Come 5:24PM, the battery was already at 41%! Imagine, in just 7 minutes, it was able to charge half the battery life. I don't even have to wait an hour for it to fully charge - you need only 34 minutes to get 100%!

The phone also remains cool even with the quick charging feature...

For most of us who is always on their phones, this is the best thing to have. The charging power is favorable for intense daily hustle and we don't have to frequently be a wall-hugger (term for people who charge while using their phone) or constantly dangling our power bank. >_<



Another great thing about the realme 7 Pro is it's wide screen. It has a 6.4-inch (16.3cm) Super AMOLED fullscreen display which makes it easy to watch videos and play games. I personally love watching vlogs on this phone because of awesome display quality. 

Aside from the fast charging feature, my other favorite about this phone is the camera. It has a Sony 64MP Quad camera that is great for people who love taking photos just using their smartphone.

  • 32MP In-display Selfie Camera - this is the brand's highest resolution for a front camera. The 32MP camera with AI beautification can reproduce crystal-clear beauty. Even in dark nights. 
  • 2nd Generation Sony IMX682 64MP Quad Camera Sensor - has 64MP main camera, 8MP 119° ultra wide-angle, macro and B&W portrait lens.
  • Pro Nightscape mode - users can freely adjust shutter, ISO, white balance, and other parameters. Gives you better clarity for night photography.

These are some photos I took in my room with the light on and the sharpness of each one surprised me. The camera is really good! :)

These ones I took at night when we did our usual errands run. I can't believe it's really almost Christmas! Look at all the decors at the mall.♥ 


I was impressed how bright the photos looked despite it being night time already. :) These photos are raw and no editing has been made to them.



Also took snaps of some greens at home.  Changing colors, ready for a new season and some of my son's newly planted veggies and my cactus. :)


Took this photo to celebrate the BTS concert a few weeks back. :) I also used the realme 7 Pro to vlog during the concert and here's how it turned out...


This will definitely be my new vlogging camera for sure! :)
