Pesto Scramble 101

by - August 27, 2010

I've been so into cooking lately. The adrenaline of wanting to cook just keeps coming back, so every weekend I try my best to look for something new to cook. Yesterday I finally tried the recipe that my Mom recommended to me. It's called, PESTO SCRAMBLE and it's really good! Basically it's just egg and pesto mixed together, but I'm not being biased because I cooked it. I'm actually surprised, that on my first try, it turned out successful.--> =O Here's how it looks--

If you wanna try it out, here are the steps from All Recipes.com;

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or just your basic cooking oil)
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (I recommend using Parmesan)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pesto
Directions

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. In a small bowl, combine egg, Cheddar cheese, salt and pepper. Pour into pan, and cook stirring for 3 to 5 minutes, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat, and stir in pesto.

Personally, I didn't add salt anymore because I prefer to overdose on the cheese and that itself is already too salty. With the pepper just add a pinch or two. Depending really on how many eggs you want to cook. I cooked 5 eggs for the family, added 2 tablespoon of pesto and I just adjusted the rest of the ingredients based on my instincts. So, with that, you are ready to cook! Bon appétit!
