Christmas activities

by - December 17, 2013

Christmas is just 8 days away and I'm sure most families now are incredibly busy preparing for the holidays. There are some who stick to traditions while there are others who choose to do something different every year. :)

For our family this year, we'll be doing this differently. This is our first time in probably 4 or 5 years to spin things off and it's only because my Angkong passed away. It's quite sad to celebrate Christmas and New Year without him, so for December 2013, we planned something new and just to acknowledge that it's Christmas for the kiddies. ^_^

How about you? Any Christmas activities you and family and friends love doing? If you haven't thought of any  yet or wanna try something new, here are 5 ideas for you guys to try. :)

  1. Make Christmas Desserts- warm up your kitchen with some holiday treats with fun cookie shapes; snowman, reindeers, Christmas socks and mistletoe.
  2. Christmas Nail Art- match your holiday outfit with some cute nails/nail art! Go for candy cane nails, rudolf nails, snowman nails, gift nails or Christmas lights nails!:)
I take no credit for the nail art photos here. :)
  3. Give out handmade gifts- there's nothing like a personal touch when it comes to gift giving. :) make your own wrapper or DIY gift items. I'm sure that will make your loved ones feel extra special!
  4. DIY Christmas Decorations- speaking of DIY up there, you can also do your own Christmas ornaments and hang them up on your tree. Definitely a fun activity for the kids and kid at heart. ;)
  5. Send out Christmas greetings or cards- this is where the family Christmas cards come in and of course e-cards. Whether your loved ones are near or far, this will surely capture their hearts. :)

So those are just a few, but I hope I gave you some nice ideas!^_^ As for me, I thought of dressing up for the holidays and this is the first one I've come up with. I love green and white when it comes to Christmas colors, so why not incorporate them in my OTD, right?:) I also wore my suede loafers to give it a more Christmas feel! I don't know why exactly, but there's something about suede that reminds me of Christmas. Is that weird?:))
