Best of 2017.♥

by - January 03, 2018

The year 2017 has already passed us, but to be honest, I'm having a hard time parting with the year that gave me so much opportunities, happiness and good vibes. I guess this is also the main reason why i've been delaying my recap of 2017 post. I'm afraid to let go of all the good things and the routine and flow that I was used to. Change truly is scary and I can't believe that the new year is finally here. I have fears that 2018 won't be as good... actually, this is my fear every single new year, if I'm really being frank. I don't know if it's only me. But of course, we can't stay in the past and we must all move on. Before fully doing so, these are the highlights of my 2017. :)

GRADUATION

The year 2017 was the time I officially graduated from college and truly, it was such a huge milestone for me. I was in the university for almost 8 years and being a mom of two kids already while still in school is no use task. I had to juggle and balance a lot of things, but I was able to make it and I cannot thank my Mom, grandparents and boys enough for supporting me all throughout. There were times that I really wanted to give up, but they pushed me and helped me soldier on. Until this day it feels surreal that college is over and I'm happy I was able to achieve this for my mom and family. ♥ :)

PAYMAYA AMBASSADOR

I think one of the biggest things that also happened to me in 2017 was to be one of the Paymaya Ambassadors. :) To be chosen by a company you believe in and actually use in real life is just amazing! I frequently use Paymaya for online shopping purposes, paying utilities and even travel bookings, so to be their ambassador and represent the company is an honor. ^_^ Thankful to Paymaya for this chance!

ART WORKSHOPS

The year I was able to do quite a few art workshops and it really made my heart happy. :) Just seeing the kids enjoy the simple art that I teach them is already in itself the reward. I wish that this year will bring about more art related projects as well!

POP CULTURE & MUSEUM TRIPS

Proud to say that like last year, I was able to insert quite a few museum trips with the family and seeing the boys curious about the exhibits makes me want to plan more! I actually can't wait for the official opening of the National Museum of Natural History, so I can bring my kids there next! Oh and got to immerse ourselves in pop culture for the second time at the Asiapop Comicon and Toycon! Fun! ^_^

10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY & ASHER'S FIRST DAY

June was a big month for us - first thing was the Hubby and I reached our 10th year anniversary as a couple. ♥ :) We celebrated it by going out of town and just enjoyed each other's company. I really am thankful that after all these years we've remained strong. I only pray that God will always be in the center of our relationship. :) Second big thing was Asher finally going to school! He's been learning a lot these past few months and happy to report he has good grades! Proud of him! Love our June milestones! ^_^

SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

This is the year where speaking engagements seemed to flow in. I think I had about 4 or 5? I'm not quite sure? I have minor stage fright when it comes to speaking in front of a big crowed, but I always try to shake it off and go on. Slowly, but surely, I'm getting a hang of it. After all, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger! haha! >_< Thankful that I managed to pull them off and that somehow, I hope I was able to inspire people through these talks. :)

YUP, I AM THAT GIRL

Got to do a set styling for Maine Mendoza's book, 'YUP, I AM THAT GIRL' :)

In all honesty, I was hesitant to accept this project when it was first introduced to me. I feared that I won't be able to pull it off or do a good job. Fear always has a way of creeping up on me, but again, I don't let it take control, so I accepted it and thankful that I did! :) It's a great opportunity and another learning experience.

ROADTRIPS

Fortunate to have been able to go on a few road trips this year too, like Nuvali and Tagaytay with the Hubby, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar with Ana and Pinto Museum with the blogger friends! :)

KOREA IN MANILA

Officially started Korea in Manila with my blogger besties Ana and Ashley. ^_^ Our passion for all things Korean has grown so much that we decided to share it through an Instagram account. If you love K-Beauty, K-Dramas and Kimchi, follow us - https://www.instagram.com/koreainmanila/ :)

NETFLIX STREAM TEAM

2017 was the year I officially became a part of the Netflix Stream Team family and couldn't be more happier! Absolute dream job - to binge watch all day! :) Seriously, who wouldn't want to Netflix and chill? Yes to that!

TRAVEL

Almost 5 years ago, I stopped traveling completely cos of personal reasons. It was a difficult time and I really missed it. Little did I know that come 2017, I would be travel to 3 countries that I've always wanted to go to - Japan, Korea and Singapore. :) Got to tick off a lot of my travel bucket list and can't wait to do more!

The year also had some downs and challenges, but grateful for all the people who I met, bonded with, supported and trusted me with work in 2017. I couldn't have achieved my goals if it weren't for all of you! ^_^ THANK YOU SO MUCH!

There were a lot of awesome highlights in my 2017 and these are just some of them. That's why it's quite hard to part with it. Yes, fear may get to me at times and I'm sure you guys have that kind of feeling too, but don't let it get in the way of achieving your dreams. It's better to TRY than do nothing at all. Remember that. :)

I'm looking forward to what 2018 has in store for all us! What matters is that, we make the most out of every singles day, work hard for what we want, never give up on our passion, and live for the small and big moments in life! Oh and let's not forget to take care of our health!

Hoping that you'll be twice as awesome and amazing 2018! *fingers crossed* ♥♥♥
