Tired but grateful

by - May 18, 2014

I've been feeling a bit tired lately, because of the errands, past bazaar preparations/manning, events, family duties and writing that I've been doing lately. It doesn't help that my classes will officially resume tomorrow and I will no longer be on vacation mode. :'( Sad. I have to get used to waking up before I even want to, get ready to go out by  3 and go home at night. It feels more like work to me than school. Sigh.

Nevertheless, I am tired, but I am truly grateful for all the things happening around me. I always believe in the saying that being busy is better than being idle. There's even a study that find busy people are happier than idle people.

“Busy people are happier than idle people, regardless of whether they choose to be busy or are forced to be busy.” - See more at: http://extrahappiness.com/happiness/?p=3687#sthash.dPJ486BH.dpuf

Dress: Regatta
Bag: SM Parisian
Sandals: Birkenstock
Sunnies: Elle

True enough, I had a few experiences that I was idle for such a long time and it really got me down. I thought about my problems more, I made a problem out of things that weren't even a big deal and I just got so negative and irritated at everything. I told myself, I never wanted to be that way again, so I try my best everyday to be productive and let the positivity takeover. :)

Hence, despite being really tired right now, don't think that I am complaining. I'm just saying that I'm tired, but not tired for life! I'm more than grateful for it and the people around me!

So, if ever you find yourself too exhausted and you want to quit, don't! There's nothing like a good sleep at night and a good breakfast to cure those blues away. You can also try writing your feelings down on a notebook, think of it as venting or you can also try writing down something you're thankful about for that day. Eventually I think you'll feel better. :)

As for me, I'm gonna start my first term of school year 2014-2015 tomorrow. Wish me luck! Good luck as well to my fellow Benildeans! Push!

I missed being "really busy". Like planning my days two days ahead, even marking what time should I go to bed and wake up, and how many hours of sleep I would get so I could attend an event, write about it and go to work. That was crazy, but I kind of miss that. Now, I feel less productive just when I have more time in the world. I agree with you, when you are idle, you think and overthink. But I learned that the time you enjoy wasting is not really a wasted time. ;) Good luck on the first day of school! Have fun :)

  3. Good luck, Ava! Our school year (Yue's, actually) officially starts on June 2. I have two more weeks to finish all my blog backlog (and watch my Kdramas and doramas) before I go back to the daily (momma) grind! :)
