Turning 8 years

by - June 30, 2015

I have been so caught up in backlogs lately that I haven't had the chance to do personal posts and I miss that a lot. Blogging just wouldn't be the same without the important parts of my life in it. :)

Do you, guys feel the same way when you blog? Like, you have to inject a bit of randomness to it or something that felt more 'you'? :) I hope I'm not the only one!

Before June officially comes to a close, I wanna blog about how the Hubby and I spent our 8th Anniversary as a couple last June 12.

How does it feel to be in a relationship this long?

It feels really great! We've been together for as long as 9 years, as an official couple for 8 years and married for 2 years. :) I can say that we had our fair share of bumps along the way and what kind of couple doesn't? That's just normal for relationships that has lasted this long. But for as long as you both really want to work things out, you will stay strong and in love. :)

Also, never let the spark go out. This is the usual 'illness' (for the lack of better term) of people who have been in relationships for as long as they can remember. They tend to fall out of love and move on to something new. So, even if you've been together for 5, 6, 8 years, 10 years, 20 or 50! Always make sure that you try your best to still surprise each other from time to time.

Don't get me wrong though, my husband and I don't surprise each other every day nor every month. We greet each other on monthsarios, but that's it. We don't spend on gifts nor do anything extravagant. It's the thought of remembering that counts. :) But on big occasions such as Anniversaries, we make it a point to get ready. But of course, there are still moments that I am caught off guard and the Hubby surprises me with a huge bouquet during an event haha!:)

I'm thankful for a husband and partner who still makes my knees weak, heart leap and laugh so much like we were still in our courting stage. :")

Aside from surprising each other, do something different once in awhile too. Get away from the monotonous and go on adventures and who knows you might discover new things about each other!

We normally spend our anniversary dining out and just the two of us. But this time, we went on a double date with our best friends and headed for Echanted Kingdom! Haven't been here in almost 6 years???

Happy 8th Anniversary, Love! Thank you for an amazing celebration! More years and cheesy poses for us! Hihihi!

Before I end this post, I wanna leave you with a little something I read online before and from then on have always believed that true love and happy relationships should feel and be that way....

"When you love someone, and he or she loves you, and there's no doubt to his or her feelings and no doubt to yours, that's peace of mind. A peace of mind you've never had before.. the kind that humbles and revives you." -Elite Daily

If it's true, it shouldn't hurt you so much nor bother your thoughts. It shouldn't take anything away from you or stop you from doing important daily stuff in your life. It should make you a better person. :)
